Happy Easter folks,I take it most will have a long weekend starting tomorrow till Tuesday except Jews @Odious Turd,special Good Friday here in this green and pleasant land,the pubs are open for the first time! My plans few pints tonight,stations of the cross tomorrow,golf Saturday and telly/sport,spring lamb for Easter Sunday,bets on Monday(Irish Grand National),all interspersed with drinking and eating Easter eggs,no BBQ. please log in to view this image

Religious reasons,never really minded just had a skinful on the Thursday night,today would have been one of the busiest days of the year in off-licenses,not now. BTW There was no drink to be had anywhere,off-licenses,supermarkets etc If you were a resident in a hotel you could get a drink but only if you were eating,mad I know.
Wee shift today and aff to Tuesday. I'll be pubbing it like **** all weekend because I don't live in a backward ****ed up country like Ireland. GSTQ
Naw it was the Roman empire who are now called the Holy Roman empire. So in actual fact it was the Catholics who were responsible. Hang your head ya dirty papist.
Forgot to mention the1400 civilians killed in the 1916 Easter uprising. I shall be celebrating that too. gstq ftp etc etc etc..........
Thanks mick for explaining that pubs were closed during Easter for religious reasons. I wouldn’t have been able to work that one out.
