OFFICIAL Masters thread for 2018

Hi folks, it is that time of year again when the Augusta National Golf Club is looking beautiful with all the brilliant colours of the flowers. But, enough of all this botany talk. The main question is, who do you think is going to win? I shall allow you 5 picks each. Just to get things started, I will name 3 of mine with one to follow next week and obviously the one my mate picks for me that I will reveal after the winner has been announced

In no particular order, apart from alphabetical, my 3 picks are the following...

F.uck golf. Did you know PING stands for Pricks In Naff Gear? Well now you do.

Sh.it sport played by honkies dressed as negro pimps. I got conned by a bird into playing (details are lost in the mists of time, although I do recall she was a durty) and having never picked up anything more than a putter at crazy golf in Shanklin I steamed everyone else on the pitch (or whatever) and they were proper pissed that a chump like me walloped them around the course. Point made and no amount of consolatory blowies would get me to debase myself in that manner again.

This did happen although some of the names, locations, dates and facts have been changed to protect the innocent.

I'd look a bit stupid posting something about golf on a "do you like biscuits?" thread wouldn't I?

Did too. Me and the burd were out for the weekend with her mate & her mate's chap. His mate rolled up and my burd drops it on me that the day out they'd planned was a round of f.ucking golf. She knew I detested the whole premise of golf but told me off for being a spoil sport and said it would be worth my while if I joined in. As described I won. Beating the ladies wasn't much of a challenge as they had the coordination of a rapist leaving by a window but the gents had been bragging about their handicaps and such so trouncing them both without knowing what on earth I was doing was rather droll.

Next day we went 10 pin bowling and the burd's mate's bloke got an almost perfect score, 296 or thereabouts, all strikes and splits and that. People from the clubs started to hang around watching because he was that good.

I wouldn't make sh.it like this up. Hate golf, was good at golf and better than folks who played it all the time. Enjoyed bowling but happy to concede the chap was some sort of 10 pin savant and off the chart better than me.

Burd was a durty and up till then the love of my life. Swallowed, bottom fun, outdoor fun, toy fun, pokey-botty fun, the lot.

 

Golf is not a sport. It's a pointless game.
