West ham have a **** defence, second worst in the league. theyve conceeded 57 goals compared to our 44 and our defence isn't great. I'm confident we can take the lead. i just really hope the days of sitting back after scoring are over because we won't hold it otherwise.
Hopefully Lanzini is out as having seen our attempts at stopping Shelvey and Shaqiri from doing whatever they wanted I don't fancy us much against 2 attacking players with the ability to completely tear us apart. Interested to see how we line up, go in with the same line up and set up the same way as against Wigan and it will be a cricket score, guessing we go back to a 4-2-3-1 as that is the way the club wants to play so is clearly told to managers when applying for the job. But they might just let Hughes do what he wants in this short period of time and try and keep us up. I'd go: ------------McCarthy-------------- Cedric--Hoedt--Stephens--Bertrand ----------Romeu----Lemina------------ -----------------Hojbjerg---------------- Long----------Tadic-----------Boufal ---------------Carrillo-------------
That will teach me to post without checking my facts I'll change it: "and that team in the West of Oldham"
I know a lot of people say playing with Long is like playing with a man downr but i dont think that will mean the ref will let you have an extra man on the pitch Yes.
It was the revolutionary 4-3-1-3-1 formation. Or I just ****ed it up, if we are being pedantic and sticking to 11 then take Tadic out of my team
I wonder if Yoshida will get a chance to regain his place. I know he is prone to the odd gaffe, but its not as if Hoedt and Stephens are perfect....though both have done important work. I suppose it will only happen if Hughes is genuinely unhappy with our CB pairing....he may feel that there is so much work due elsewhere that he won't want to fiddle with the defence as well. Scoring goals is the main problem....after all we rarely let in many goals per game. I'm quite willing to settle for 3-2 wins.
