Don't think Cortese technically worked for the Leibherrs..he had some kind of finance job with specialisation in sports. Had been watching the developments at Saints and thought it would interest Markus. Talked him into investing and Markus said only if Nicola ran it. That's what Nicola has said in a few interviews.

I think there's a little more financial connection than that, Fran. Cortese advised Liebherr on a few financial things. But, yeah, that's pretty much how it was. Of course, they were great friends, hence the wonderful and tragic story of the Watch.
