Called it. Who the **** is James Tarkowski anyway? How are these people nobodies ever heard of playing in the England national team?
Got a horrible feeling VAR is going to knock someone out of the World Cup at the knockout stage for something completely bollocks...
Unimpressive performance agin the worst Italian team ever. Our depth is as shallow as the skin on a pan of boiled milk (or poached kippers).
I came on here to see everybody saying it’s good to see VAR work both quickly and entirely correctly. Jesus H.
I look forward to VAR reviewing corners then as based on that 'clear and obvious' penalty there should have been 7 for each team. If you are going to give that penalty (I can see both sides) you have to then look at the holding in the box which is a clear penalty. At every corner in that match an England player couldn't jump due to being held but why isn't that reviewed?
Italy should’ve been given one in the first 5 mins when Stones ****ed up and then tried to wrestle Immobile to the ground. If Ciro had gone down, rather than fight to stay on his feet, Stones would’ve been sent off. But of course this doesn’t warrant a mention.
The ref had obviously been touched up with hefty bribe before the game. Can’t see the problem myself.
Completely agree. My point was with regards to something else. Two things the first foul by stones was outside the box therefore a free kick. I also don't think a player should have to go down to win a penalty or a free kick. Burnley suffered against Huddersfield (I think) for a very similar thing clear penalty but because he didn't dive and pretend he was shot he didn't get the penalty, same thing tonight. Ox was pushed far more in the box than Bonucci was but Bonucci got a free kick. I wasn't discussing specific incidents I was discussing VAR as a whole, I didn't even say if England where hard done to or not. I wanted to point out the failings of VAR. So don't paint me as some biased onlooker actually read my post.
