Group C: MAN UTD, Benfica, Basle, Otelul Galati
Group D: Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax, Dinamo Zagreb

Group F: ARSENAL, Marseille, Olympiakos, Borussia Dortmund
Group G: FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit, Apoel FC
Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan, BATE Borisov, Viktoria Plzen

True. Man City have the worst draw of the English clubs, and Arsenal's group looks tough with both Marseille and Dortmund.

I'm thinking 5 0-0 draws followed by a sporny 1-0 away win to Otelul (own goal of course), giving us an admitedly poor return of 8 points, but enough to scrape through

Man City have the hardest group by far. But they also have the 3rd best squad by far. Man Utd and Arsenal have by far the easiest groups.

draw permitting i expect the QTR Finals teams to be: Man City Man Utd Arsenal Chelsea Barcelona Real Madrid Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. What chances of all the english clubs being kept apart ?

how about this qtr final draw then

    Barcelona v. Man City
    Real Madrid v. Man Utd
    Inter Milan v. Chelsea
    Bayern Munich v. Arsenal

Who would prevail from this little lot then ?

Can't see Man City getting through the quarter final stage. Just think there are more experienced teams that might particularly play well but will do enough.

Not bad for a first attempt.

How do you think Man City could overcome Barca!?

We saw in 2009-2010 when they lost in the Semis to Internazionale that a defensive approach is the best way of containing them, but since then they've added David Villa and Cesc Fabregas! <yikes>

Plus City's defence is their weak-point.

I accept I'm in an overwhelming minority, but Man City's performances have been outstanding this season. In terms of attacking ability they're one of the best in Europe, and half of their team wouldn't look out of place in a Barcelona first XI.

If Man City draw Barca, I think they'll knock them out <whistle>

I know, you look at their attacking players and see Nasri, Tevez, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko, Balotelli and Yaya Toure.
Then you see defenders such as Wayne Bridge and Joleon Lescott. <laugh>

Bridge is ****e, and that's why he's their 4th choice left back. Lescott is a good player, you don't spend £22m on a bad defender (even if you're Man City).

And let's face it, if Kole Toure hadn't taken his missus' dieting pills, that strange looking fella from Everton wouldn't be getting much of a look in <ok>

Lescott has had far fewer good games for them than bad or even average. And even Kolo Toure is a bit suspect. I'd look at replacing him as well!
