Not even allowed spud guns anymore Might take someone's eye out. Maybe that is why they have no paper either.
We literally have licencing for guns in the UK. Thats the system we use. everything you listed that was actually dangerous is already at least partially banned. teaching people to respect guns is what saves lives, not banning them. Thats why Switzerland has such low gun crime despite massive gun ownership. same with cars, machinery etc. Ban things that have 0 purpose like handguns etc, but not hunting rifles, sporting rifles etc. same as the UK. Most of what you said applies to organised criminals but thats not really what these laws are aimed at.
The argument in the US always goes if you ban guns the bad guys will still have them and the good guys won't be able to protect themselves. My response is "and your point is?" What I am saying is that guns are largely illegal here, and guess what the bad guys still have them. The main thing is Joe Public with a grudge doesn't. So Joe Public with a grudge can't walk into a school and kill all his/her ex classmates. However, Joe Public that is an arms dealer or a crime lord may have a gun. Guess what. Crime lords or arms dealers in the main do not kill innocent children or members of the public - they kill their own. Not saying a criminal life is worth less than a non criminal life, but I think you get my gist.
I would suggest more that Theresa has played the easy solution in that she has done exactly what "this world" wants to be done. Instant justice, no real process involved. The media are loving what she has done. The Blarites (moderates) love what she has done. They hate Corbyn for even saying the only sensible suggestion of waiting until things are proved. She has just done what this age seems to demand. Instant response to things before they are even proven let alone beyond doubt.
Just think how many of the exactly zero school shootings the UK has had in the past two decades would have been prevented if everyone was armed to the teeth, though.
Is this for real? https://evolvepolitics.com/tory-own...-benefit-claimants-should-be-allowed-to-vote/
Brecow has lost the plot again. Reprimanding Boris Johnson for calling Emily Thornberry "Lady Nugee." He was right that you aren't supposed to directly address people but then he went on a rant about it being sexist to refer to people by the title of their spouses. He really got into his stride and was obviously thinking a lot of himself as he progressed through his reprimand. Maybe it is however, Emily Thornberry has claimed a few times that she doesn't refer to herself as Lady Nugee yet her twitter handle is.............you guessed it. She herself refers to herself (despite denying it) as Lady Nugee by using it as her twitter handle, so how can it be sexist for others to refer to her as the same?
Rather than guess i looked it up and Her twitter handle is @EmilyThornberry. I don't think it was sexist as the insult came by belittling her name compared to her title, not her husband, but Boris was being intentionally offensive.
Thats the Emily Thornbird one. Amazingly I can't find the one that used to be pulled up!!! I think it was on question time when she tried to say she never referred to herself as Lady Nugee and another panellist said "yet your twitter handle is Lady Nugee" and she went very quiet!!
2nd attempt, click on image to open Here's some pictures taken on a tour of the US we did a couple of years ago
It wasn't sexist. Was it sexist when Theresa May called her the same the other week and was told off similarly? Bercow is one to talk about sexism.
Like I said above I can't find it. I just remember her on "a" program where she said it and then went quiet when the twitter handle was brought up. so in the best practice in these situations: I have to take back my words and apologise if I have mislead anyone.
I think you are jumping the gun here. Indications in Parliament are the UK at least will be 'going after the money'. Let's wait and see.
