If CP is Southend's manager in 14 months' time, it will be because he's led them to the top half of the table.
If CP is Charlton's manager in 14 months' time, it will be because we've romped to the League One title.
Personally, I can't see CP walking away from his new job, especially as he has an excellent rapport with the Southend fans and is under no great pressure to achieve instant success. He may make a return to Charlton in the future, but not this or next season.
