THIRD TIME LUCKY Naas 4:50 11/1 I fancied this one for the Lincoln as I think they have been cleverly managing his mark. However, he side stepped Doncaster for this which really should be a whole lot easier.
It never works out as easy as this but Paul Nicholls at Ascot should have a straight forward treble. Three different jockeys up so can't even use the useless ginger one as an excuse
14:35 Ascot - Malaya (Probable favourite so nothing special. Seems a pretty useful sort. Should be fresh after a 29-day break).
She got a favourable mention in my Fred Winter preview but she bypassed that as well as an entry in the Imperial Cup.
Gaz, she's on Salmanazar (16.55A) & Broderie (17.20D) today. Wish I'd checked before making my selections, I've taken the latter in a few accumulators.
Yankee for interest today, Asc 2.35 Malaya (form behind Redicean should be good enough here) Don 3.00 Prevent (Moore factor) 5.20 Broderie (Pivotal on this ground, short priced though) Naas 4.50 Third Time Lucky (606 factor)
Naas 3.05-Son of Rest 7/2. Yard always have one ready for the start of season, will love the ground and claimer on board. In the Ulster National Dinnie's Vinnie has the best form on offer and would be half the price if he was trained by the Sheriff.Slight concern about the drift in price to 11/2 but should go close.
