What's the difference between a Chapati and a Naan?

    That's a question not a joke.

Different ingredients, so different end result. In a nutshell. Or to cut and paste

Roti is generally made from whole wheat flour and is cooked either on a tawa (flat skillet) or in a tandoor (oven). Naan is cooked from all-purposr flour, is leavened, i.e. uses yeast, and is cooked in a tandoor.

Not 'leavened' cooking, whatever TF that is.

It's bread with yeast being the leavening, roti's don't need yeast.

I have but I don't think I've ever knowingly had a chapati. I always order Peshwari naan.

There's hundreds in Manchester, I usually go to the same one cos it's nice and lively and not like travelling to 1992 for dinner.

I’m a big fan of the chapati, makes the whole curry experience finger food as well. I could just eat a proper curry now tbh.

I prefer chappati to rice and naan

Although a nice dry curry on chips is a treat, not chip shop chips though.

Dry curry on chips... what do you wash that down with a pint of Shake n Vac?

By dry I mean a bhuna style rather than lots if sauce so a chicken tikka masala.

You don't want the Chips saturated

I'm a heathen honky and go with the double carb rice and chapati mate.

Not a fan of the chips option with an Indian curry though, has to be Chinese curry sauce for that bad boy.
