It's just a coincidence that the lowest squad number after the goalkeeper is the number 2, traditionally the right back.

They retired the No 12 for the fans but had to use it in the league or cup

If you put the keeper before them, Robertson would be right back I.e

But if you put it after, Robertson becomes the left back. I.e
