England are not the only country to have a few dickheads causing problems.

Regarding poss WC boycott; could organise a tourney with Italy, Holland, USA, Cameroon, Ireland, China (for the funding), in England, called the Fair World Cup. Not that I want to boycott anything, but there are some big names not going.

I know, but when freedom of movement doesn't apply any longer, perhaps they can be stopped at borders more easily.... Or have their visa applications denied, but I doubt you'll need a visa to travel to somewhere like the Netherlands or France.

Didn't say we were, doesn't make our fans any less dickhead-ish though.

America and a few countries boycotted the Olympics in Russia once, but GB didn't. What was said then was that we are a free country and unless war is declared we don't stop citizens from moving about.

Never mind Russia, boycotting the World Cup could upset FIFA. Now that would be serious. <laugh>

I seem to recall that any gold medals won by GB in 1980 were celebrated officially with the Olympic Hymn rather than God Save the Queen, but British people in the crowd sang GSTQ anyway.

The Olympic Hymn is better than GSTQ.

In fact, so is Wannabe by the Spice Girls.

Never understood the problem with GSTQ....easy to remember, easy to sing.

Anyway...England U21 v Romania U21 just about to kick off on BT. It has been dedicated to Cyrille Regis....nice touch. They are just reading out his career facts and having a moments applause. <applause>

FT 2-1 A very good game with chances for both sides. Romania hadn't lost for a year, so a good test.

Let's create a list of songs better than GSTQ!

    Wannabe
    Agadoo
Birdy Song (dunno what that is)
    The Macarena
    Crazy Frog
    The Teletubbies
    Bob the Builder
    Barbie Girl
    Mr Blobby
    S-Club Party
    Sk8r Boi
    Mambo No. 5
    Killing in the Name

    Any others?

We won't have to worry about him falling over every time a Saints player gets close to him either. He's a cheat.

He uses his stature to influence refs in a outrageous way. Comes across as a right twit.
