Hopes of a bumper crowd seem misplaced. Just ordered my ticket in the NW, and not many seats are taken. I can actually see us getting something out of this, especially with Magennis being unavailable. There should be a decent atmosphere, with plenty of Plymouth fans, and some Roland Out songs to boot.
I think the real attendance tomorrow will be around 8,000, including a sell out from Plymouth. At least we will line up 4-4-2 for the first time in 16 months.
It would be good to hear some protest chanting for the last time, to help send Duchatelet on his way. But I don't see why there should be a bumper crowd. I for one won't be there, as I will not return until RD is gone and he is not gone yet. To be honest I am still sceptical about the takeover being announced on Monday. We have been lied to so often, I'm not going to believe it until it happens. Good luck to the team tomorrow - a win would see our play-off hopes still hanging by a thread rather than snuffed out. But it's a game too early for celebrations or a rush back to the Valley in my opinion. 1-3 away win is my prediction. If Duchatelet is gone by April 2nd then the Rotherham game will be a big celebration and I'll be there for sure.
We're set up to attack, but are still vulnerable in defence. Could have been 4-2. More goals to come I expect. Reeves playing pretty deep, JFC getting forward a lot. Looks like a team the fans can get behind, best atmosphere for a while.
You only boo when you're winning................. Boo when you're wiiiinning.............. Finding this a long old afternoon. Nowhere to hide though.
Midfield looked fired up, and I think that is LB’s work. Still think we showed signs of nerves/complacency as the game went on, but Aribo showed character/steel/leadership. I haven’t seen a lot of us by admission this season, but we looked hell of a lot better out without mag, and after the summer and Jan, I’m happy to see us (hopefully) get shot. First thing the new owners need do is sign Amos on a full time deal. No bias Curbs being evasive as ever.
A good result and it sounds like a decent performance, though granted not flawless. Well done Lee Bowyer and the team. 4-4-2 at last. It seems Karl Robinson's departure was not a day too soon. As for Josh Magennis - it looks like LB has got a decision to make (if he's in the job long enough). Positive vibe today though from what I have heard, the Addicks back up to 8th and still just about in touch with 6th place. Northampton away now perhaps a winnable game too...
Posting Without Going. Amazing what the same players can achieve with a different voice in the dugout, and the abandonment of the pathetic futile 4-2-3-1. Gobbo can stick his Pro licence up his arse, Charlton fans have been calling for this formation for months. Still not too late to make the play offs under Bowyer, but if we do narrowly miss out one man will be responsible, and his initials are not RD.
Wow. Turns out the wow factor was KR leaving. It would appear we have a manager for the moment who puts round pegs in round holes. Odd! Both Plymouth matches this season have been unexpected 2-0 home wins. I will add while everything is unconfirmed and Bowyer has a massive 90 minutes experience as manager, I'd be very annoyed if new guys arrived and put Powell in charge. Bowyer was not an ideal choice, but I'd be inclined to let this ride until the end of the season. Meantime I'm gonna enjoy a rare win where we played some football.
