How about a 'selfie' of two Met Police Officers at one of those murder locations? It was taken outside the Stratford Centre, East London and posted on social media following the fatal stabbing of a man on Tuesday ... Unbelievable.

It's somewhat insensitive to take it where someone was recently murdered I feel.

Fair enough. Depends on the circumstances, I suppose.

They posted it in uniform with the caption ''Crime scene at Stratford mall today." It's just as bad as the ghouls who were doing selfies at Grenfell Tower the day afterwards. That's my opinion anyway and wouldn't dream of doing it myself, especially in a professional capacity.

Everything discussed in this thread ultimately comes down to money and power, survival and prosperity of the fittest at the expense of the weak.

Why is the world geared towards profit, power, inequality, poverty, unsustainability, corruption, war and division as opposed to equality, abundance, unification, technological advance for the good of everyone, ethical and responsible energy usage?

I obviously know the answer, but I fail to understand why we don't communicate more about the absurd state of human civilisation and it's connotations for the future of our existence.

    We are truly nuts.

We are yet I have found that after a lot of thought that it is inherent inside all of us
Well I know it’s inside of me
I am greedy and really only looking out for my own affairs
Although I have given everything away just 10 years ago here I am now building stuff up again and wanting more and more

I am the first in the line to call Nuts as I have no excuse because I felt the peace of having nothing.

The world is crazy as just down the road well about a hour away there has been a terror attack in France today at a bloody supermarket. Watch how that story unfolds in the next few hours.

I honestly see what the Arab quarters are like first hand in my nearest city. I see massive poverty and difference I honestly can understand how some of these people boil over ... yet all Southern French Arabs will all be terrorists by the end of the day I am guessing plus people won’t feel safe and I predict a call to close the U.K. borders etc etc plus I expect we will all hear how naft the French special forces are

    Crazy times

Jezzer's in trouble first he sacks Owen Smith because he supports a 2nd referendum. Then he is being accused of anti-semitism over a picture.
He really is becoming a joke of leader. Maybe he should join UKIP. <laugh>

  15. A lot of people have moaned about how long it's taking. I think it's almost been forgotten that negotiations with the EU didn't start until more than a year after the vote. Given that, the speed at which they have got to this stage is phenomenal.

It is a sad time for the Labour Party when they need to sack someone to basically keep him quiet. Now I don't agree with a lot of what Owen Smith says but we need a strong opposition. We need to hear the other side of the argument. I voted Brexit but I always want to hear from the remain side. Corbyn is a muppet

It's called collective responsibility. You can't have someone in the shadow cabinet speaking out against party policy, and Smith knew full well that he would be sacked - if May was stronger, she would have sacked Johnson or Hammond, or both. Having said that, I agree with what Smith said and wish that the Labour leadership would change their position on Brexit.

Despite ruling out a second referendum, Labour does at least have a coherent position on Brexit, which is to stay in the Customs Union - something that May has ruled out. It seems to me this is the only way to resolve the Irish border problem.

Doesn't staying in the customs union meaning conforming ti EU rules and negate the possibility of negotiating our own deals outside the EU?
