Tell me I am wrong at the end of rads tenure when the accounts and consequences are in the public domain. The only significant net investment rad has made was to get one of his companies to buy ER. In effect he has mirrored the Bates/Teak investments structure. How this plays out will only become apparent when he realizes he cant get any more money out of the operational side of the club because he has run it into the ground... There is every chance rad will turn into Bates with a suntan P.S every penny spent on buying ER has gone onto the asset value of the other company his spent is effectively zero.
Mike you will no doubt remember a guy we had at the club called Bob English. Well he took my 8 year old brother to the club and natured him through to being on the verge of signing pro forms. My brother was a bit special and made me look like a pillock and I played for school and club teams with much older kids but he was beyond anything. In fact his hero was Jimmy Johnson the Scotland and Celtic winger, so Bob English arranged for him to spend 2 weeks of his summer holidays staying with JJ in Scotland every year. The club paid my parents money to buy him steak and had to show my mum how to cook pasta to build him up. (Yes folks in those days the only pasta came in a tin with Heinz on it) they ended up refusing to sign him because he was too small!! he was snapped up by Blackburn Rovers but after a tug of war between the 2 Sheffield sides, Rovers, Barnsley and Oldham.
Of course I remember Bob English and I will never forget JJ turning Terry Cooper apart at ER he was simply unplayable what was you brother called I will probably remember him too In the 50's I stayed at Reg Elvys house he was the keeper for Blackburn and was born in Churwell Albert Nightingale who played for Leeds picked us up along with Reg in his morris and took us to the game
You are wrong first of all we know he owns the ground we never knew who owned it before nor who owns TA.We do now He has spent lots of money in investing in the clubs future in YOUTH and it looks like this will come off so now give him a chance to sort out the first team He has given lots of players 4 year contracts did any of the previous owners do that?
