Arsenal have also been on the receiving end of two drubbings by City, a defeat to Brighton, obliterated by Swansea a defeat to Ostersunds and a NL derby defeat since Mkhi joined them, you'll eventually realise that he doesn't graft though, don't worry <ok>

Been an open secret for a while. Football being football (a closed, macho world), these things tend not to get talked about.

Shaw apparently puts no effort in whatsoever in training and can't seem to show passion on the pitch. Whatever the reasons are for this are irrelevant, he needs to go for his own good and for the good of the club. He might end up the best LB in the world but that'll never happen here.

You can all say in 5 years "<laugh> Mourinho sold him now look how good he is for Real Madrid", but the fact is he's not good enough here.

I agree on Di Maria but it's van Gaal who took us back into the dark ages.

Moyes made a mess of it but wasn't really around long enough, van Gaal's 'feelosofee' destroyed everything that had been put in place before him.

    So did I.

It's ok to be wrong sometimes. Gloating after the fact doesn't make anyone clever.

We missed huge targets that summer Moyes was here and it was because of Moyes. He ruined this club by instilling a small club mentality that Van Gaal smashed to pieces by signing Falcao and Di Maria and more importantly the guy who turned Moyes down Ander Herrera.

LVG was also a ****ing moron, scrapping the deal for Kroos is unforgivable and he should have been sacked for that alone.

I don't think Moyes was supported by the club in trying to get who he wanted though.

He walks into United like a rabbit caught in the headlights, he should have had Woodward etc. getting his deals over the line.

Say what you like about him, and he was out of his depth and completely **** no doubt, his two major signings are still here and playing in the first team.

    Most of van Gaal's aren't.

Memphis for me, was utter ****e at Utd and shipped out very quickly. At least Di Maria was decent for about 5 games before realising he hated everything about Manchester.

Fellaini hasn't been that bad overall, not good enough for a team like Utd but what he does he is good at. Can't really blame him if they keep playing him.

Well Mata was a good signing, I suppose if we discredit Moyes for Herrera then we have to credit him for Mata.

Woodward is awful, he's probably the biggest spanner in the works since Fergie left to be honest.

I'm not gonna blame LVG for making this club go backwards as much as Moyes though. You only have to read what Rio, Evra and Vida say about him to realise he turned the champions into utter **** and set us back years.

Gotta be Di Maria, if we are looking at who was the biggest disappointment.
Pogba hasn't set the world on fire, but if you ignore his inflated fee, he has been far from the worst post Fergie signing.

Surely its Fellaini for you @Matth_2014

    Woodward is a joke.

He's going round splashing money on signings and hasn't got the first clue about who they are. At least with Gill he knew what he was doing.

My defence of Moyes is that he didn't employ himself and then throw himself under a bus, Woodward did.

Ferguson should not have suggested Moyes if he wasn't then prepared or allowed to support him in his job. It's all very well saying he had to be in the background but the bloke was clearly out of his depth and needed guidance.

Which is why I don't blame Moyes 100% for what happened, there were a few at the club equally culpable.

One of Moyes first decisions was to sack the backroom staff, coaches, etc.

He should have been fired on that day.

We'll never know but he could have made a success of it, he wasn't given time due to things not going well on the pitch and off it. He seemed to want to change things too quickly and to get his own people in other than working with the experience that was already in place. Would Utd be in a better position now if they had kept him? I don't think so but what they do need to do is get the right manager in place, one that respects the traditions of the club and plays football in the way Utd always have as Utd are in danger of losing their identity under Mourinho.

He should have kept a link to Ferguson but most managers will employ their own team.

He made some massive errors but the biggest one was employing him in the first place and that wasn't his fault. Ferguson nominated him, Woodward employed him and then they both sat back and watched him **** it up.
