Sounds like he’s mellowing. He’s usually goading our fans on Twitter.

Malice is a fairly strong word, but I would say I had no respect for Karl Robinson while he was our manager and I'm not about to go misty and wish him well now. The man wove a myth about giving fans back their Club, but delivered absolutely nothing.
His time at MK Franchise did not endear him to me either, because he clearly had no more issues working for those identity thieves than he had working for Duchatelet and Meire - who stole Charlton's identity, albeit in a different way.

Even in his parting speech KR was gushing on about Charlton being a "special special" Club.
    Leave it out Ex-Gaffer.
We have never claimed to be special. All we want is what fans of any self-respecting football Club want - for our first team to compete as well as it possibly can, honestly supported by a board and management team that knows how important the Club is to the local community. Owners who know how proud we fans are of our history and our identity, our traditions and our hopes for the future.
We just want our pride back, and a hunger to better ourselves.

I don't care if Robinson does well or not for Oxford United, or whoever he ends up working for.
For me he was never a Charlton man. He was Duchatelet's man.

I'll miss his dulcet tones at the Training Ground.

He accounted himself well at the Bromley meeting.

However, people will either like him or think he is full of s***.

He sold his bum to Duchatelet then Duchatelet sold him down the river. Karma perhaps.

A scan of Charlton social media / Twitter shows two main reactions to Robinson’s departure - sympathy, and frustration at his mouthiness/ tactical stubbornness. There is none of the vehemence that accompanied Fraeye’s sacking.

Over on Wally Life a few are hoping that Jason Euell would be over promoted, just so they could start the Chris Powell- like soap opera again. Thankfully that has been resisted.

If the takeover really is next week then Bowyer and JJ won’t be in post long - probably no bad thing.

One would assume the new owners made the decision to let him resign.

This thread makes interesting reading from an Argyle supporter point of view. There are half of you sort of saying about the new manager syndrome being all good and the other half saying there isn't going to be any change and a thrashing is on the cards. On some Argyle forums there are half of the people saying this is a great time to play Charlton and the other half expecting a banana skin where we might even be favourites for the game even though it's away and we fall completely on our arse.

I just remember you at Home Park early in the season and you were decent then despite the loss. I posted that on your match day thread and I still haven't seen many better passing teams since so your position or rather recent results surprise me. You still have the players so they won't have suddenly become crap. Personally I think the manager thing etc won't make a blind bit of difference. I don't think our form compared to your form will make one jot of difference either. This won't be a walk over for either side and I still think it could go either way. We may have gotten a load of good results recently but we haven't suddenly become Barca overnight either. Hope your club gets sorted out soon after Saturday of course.

Ha - fans are the same at every club mate.
I read an interview with your Chairman last week in which he said half your fan base wanted Adams out earlier this season. He said he had kept some of the letters.
The fans won’t come back properly to our place until the Belgian prick has gone - then watch us go.

I think theres too much uncertainty around the club as it stands, and think our season will will continue to fizzle out. It's a good time to play us, I'd say.

Absolutely true Royston they did want Adams gone and have to say I was half way there myself. He was so stuck in his tactics which were definately not working for us that the fans were tearing hair out. We were rock bottom and looking doomed even then. Then a miracle happened with some injuries and stuff and he had to give it a go another way. Just what the fans had been calling for and it worked so well. It even changed the opinion about certain players who were considered rubbish and were suddenly wonderful. He hasn't changed it back since and the rest as they say is history. The thing is our Owner is too tight to pay compensation so there was no chance Adams was going to get the elbow. Everyone thinks he walks on water at the minute but if we don't get into the play offs then watch the mood change then. Fickle doesn't even start to come into it. Your situation though seems much different to our's. As said best of luck after Saturday.

    Hardly Wow factor.

I can imagine many Oxford fans feeling distinctly underwhelmed. Still, not our problem anymore <ok>

It depends how you say it.
    "WOW!!!" he exclaimed excitedly;

    or,

    "Oh wowee" he murmured sarcastically.
