    His current assessment is correct.
We are a selling club and as a consequence the quality of the first team has worsened.
You have to presume he has been told the transfer budget moving forward and it’s more of the same...
I would guess he knows Saiz and Pontus are off and Pablo will be told he can go,,,
It’s either that or he is trying to get sacked.

That is accurate. The stuff I posted off transfermarkt suggests we should be top half but outside playoffs, based on market value of squad.

The 4 clubs that have substantially higher market values than anyone else are all in the top 6

Sadly, for all our focus on ‘sacking the coach because he is useless’ , getting rid of Orta because he brings in rubbish, the reality is that money talks

There are exceptions, notably Cardiff and (spit) Millwall so a good coach can buck the market, but in general - money talks

Rad spend a net £4m on transfer fees this season (and by spent, I mean commitments less sale prices - not cash, no one has a friggin clue on actual cash)

But.... We have wasted an awful lot of money...

Sacko, Klich, Cibiki and Anita, lets take those four alone. We knew Sacko wasn’t good enough, Alioski, Dallas, Hernandez, Roofe all ahead of him in the wide attacking department.

Cibicki, Klich, Anita - Too many to list ahead of them, we have an abundance of midfield players. No idea of the combined fee and wages of just these four but if we’d signed Bartley or Gayle when they were possibly available instead of these four we’d be a better team.

If we had managed to get someone of Gayle’s quality (I know Newcastle pulled the plug on Fulham at the last minute, I’m just using him as a measure of the quality) then we’d have not needed Ekuban and Grot, my gripe still is that I’d like to see one top quality signing than 4-5 average players competing against the already average players we have

Guilty as charged M'lud. I had a pair of my wifes tights on under my trousers and I was still cold.
