I'm a Beverlonian, took my girlfriend there a month ago and stayed at the Lairgate (oldie worldie and comfy place), which was a fun experience as although I was born there I'd never been as a 'visitor'.. we dined at Akash Indian resaurant (brill) and had full English Breakfast at Vanessa on the square (top notch), we had afternoon tea near the Minster (can't remember the name of the café) and enjoyed the carvery at the Nag's Head, Routh

There aren't any nightclubs in Bev. Nightclubs are a bag of **** anyway.

They're just pubs that stay open late/early. No one in Bev reckons Beaver or Push etc are 'nightclubs' in the traditional sense.

Yeah I would recommend Cosmo’s, just above it, as well. Very good.

Oh I was referring to Cabana. Beaver isn’t a nightclub per se, but I wouldn’t really call it a pub either.

Estabulo only opened last week. Is great value on a lunchtime Monday to Friday. Highly recommend.

Ah sorry, I’ve mistaken it for another place. I’m liking Flemingate for evenings, Firepit is pretty good fun, aside from the FIFA playing, quiff haired hipsters who are giving out Bantz about the top 4 Premier League team playing on the screen.

Dearer on a night but during the week help yourself to a buffet, very nice too, then they bring you chips and eight types of meat carved at your table for £9.95. They just keep coming round and you can eat as much as you want.
Shame I was driving and couldn't have a few beers to wash it down.

Yeah I've heard good things. It sounds like Fazenda in Leeds, they do a similar thing. Decent steak meats?

Yes. Thin slices but nicely cooked. Sirloin, rump, lamb, gammon, chicken, sausages, belly pork...
Even my wife, who is a bit faddy about meats, loved it. Estabulo have a place in Leeds.

Seen it thru the window. If you have an animal yourself, you know, a dog or cat, if you go there now try not to think of it being abused, slaughtered, gutted sawn up, roasted, then sliced in front of you at your table. Simply gross.

I won't. Funnily enough, I don't apply the same morals and ethics to every aspect of my life.

I try not to think of the shrieks of plants as they are brutally torn from the earth when having a salad.

I’m really not sure what the point of this post was. Other than, don’t imagine your pets as dinner. Which I don’t think is a problem for most people.

It's such a weird thing to say. It's like "Next time you watch a boxing match, try not to imagine one of the dudes is your grandma getting pummelled in the face". Who thinks like that?

Like a hotter version of the Claypit, if you're that way inclined.
