Alright lads . Ipswich fan in peace . wondered if you guys could shed any light on D Murphy as you have very kindly loaned him to us . Was just wondering how he has been playin and why he is out of favour at the moment . And what you lads thought of him since movin north Be interesting to hear your thoughts cheers
He's the only guy in our whole team who could score penalties. That's the only positive I can think of. Oh, and he did the crossbar challenge successfully. He has nice eyes too.
Honestly? Not very good. Doesn't score many goals, not particularly fast and doesn't have much of a footballing brain. Still rather have him than Samaras mind.
He's a brilliant big player, he has a great touch and an eye for goal. He can score from anywhere in the 18 yard box, just give it to him and he'll fire it in the net This one is a real coup for Ipswich Town and I can see him scoring the goals that take Ipswich Town into the Premier League
Ignoring the gay virgin above, to be fair, he does hold the ball up which we could have done with last night after going down to 10 men. You never know, it might just click for him with Ipswich.
He's decent enough, ok in the air but hardly a target man, decent touch & ability but hardly skilfull. Hard to remember too much as he hasn't really played since around this time last year bar the odd sub appearance. Not as good as Hooper & Stokes for sure who are our main striker partnership. Will do a job in the Championship alongside Chopra but Chopra will be relied upon to grab the goals.
To be fair I don't think he really had much of a chance. Stokes & Hooper were always going to be Lennons pairing start of last season but when Hooper was out at the start of the season I thought Murphy did alright. He got dropped when both were fit which is fair enough but he never really had a look in after that.

I believe Murphy is a decent enough footballer but never really got a chance with Celtic. Samaras was always picked ahead of Murphy and perhaps if it had been Murphy given those chances we would be in a better place now. Good Luck to the Tractor Bhoys for the season.
Its typical of the type of people we have in this forum, no matter what or who the post is about many of them get to post about Samaras, and then we wonder why we are out of Europe in August. They are not supporters only knockers.
