Your suggestions as to who should be the City Captain and why??? I think this is a massively important role that we dont seem to have sorted at all. NP has given it to Dawson who is too quiet and now Hobbs who I feel is too young and lacking leadership experience. Your thoughts?
Rosenior for me. The captaincy is too much responsibility for someone of Hobbs' age to have and Liam seems to be giving the defence encouragement so could be leadership material. Mckenna probably has a good shout and it also depends if we sign an experienced central defender/midfielder.
Ashbee was instrumental in all of our promotions and was a true leader, god knows how Mckenna made Forest Captain, way too quiet, only things hes got is experience.
Rosenior should have been given it at the start of this season. one of our mature/older players. played in the prem, relegated from the prem, he's been around for a good few years and has great experience. he's pretty vocal on the pitch too which is always good. give it to liam !
Have to agree, i haven't seen him barking out orders and marshelling the midfield etc that Ash used to do. If he could have a bit of skill alongside his finger pointing and all Harper would be captain!
were lacking quite a number of things, a hard man midfielder, a player who can unlock defences, and a cb as well as maybe a quality striker to share the burden with fryatt. John Eustace/Richie Wellens type Barry Bannan type Ebanks -blake thatd be my wish list. some would say unreasonable but every player has there price.
Rosie for everything above and when he applauded the fans on Saturday showed he cared for the club and more importantly the fans
listening to his interview on blunderside last saturday and he comes across as a very intelligent and articulate individual. however, do his comments on players, like ash, who spent a lot of their time pointing and shouting suggest rosenior is taking the management stance of avoiding this sort of player? could this be the cause of some of our problems?
he said people who stand pointing, while doing nothing else...i dont think he was referring to ashbee, if he was hes an idiot...i think its more likely him and james harper didnt talk much monday morning
Is this our weekly 'who should be captain' thread? I'll go for Rosie..................same as last week.
Im with everyone else with rosie from what ive seen and read from interviews especialy the 1904 mag he seem to have good head on his sholders and driven and seems to enjoy playin for the club imo thats what we need someone who wants to be here! and have the experiance!
It's not surprising we all want Rosie, check out these comments, not only does he talk complete sense, but he can see specific failings and what to do about them. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-13214387-detail/story.html?
Yes he speaks sense, trouble is the HDM then interpret this as a more direct approach. He doesnt say that he says get a cross in not do 3 step overs and humiliate the full back. If NP means loft high balls then i dont wanna see it, carry on playing football but sign a proper forward. If the funds were available for Ayala then ust it to buy a forward.
