Not scoring points here BCC but it's more life threatening than you might think. In the over-80 category 10% die within 30 days, 33% will die within a year, because of complications like blood clots, pneumonia and simply the trauma of an invasive operation. My mother is in her nineties, she has already survived a hip fracture so the odds on her further survival were not great. However it still shouldn't take 2 hours for an ambulance to turn up when someone is lying inert in the road in winter. She did survive by the way
Yeah I appreciate that and am glad it worked out for you, but try to detach yourself from that and put yourself in the hands of the call centre and it wouldn’t be the absolute top priority emergency. On another day the ambulance might have been there in 5 mins. Anyway, back to ****s drink driving...
Needs to get himself to the Priory. Good quiz night on a Thursday, and very handy for Oddbottle and Hastings.
They cost money but you don't get charged for calling one. At least a heart attack is a genuine reason.
Driving this morning early doors, Five live interviewed a couple from the Midlands. The husband had had a tattoo of ant & dec on his calf with Saturday Night Take Away underneath it. He said he did it to try and win tickets for the Florida trip.... Enough Said..!!
Ruddy Nora... Now I’ve never seen Saturday Night Take Away, but at the risk of making myself look like sausage, I’m guessing it’s not tattoo worthy.
I empathise with his addiction but Im sure he can afford the best help available unlike many others who have recovered. Either destroy yourself or get help but don't endanger other people.
I completely sympathise with his addiction. What I don’t sympathise with is getting into the ****ing driving seat when drunk. As someone else said, he can afford a driver. If he wants a regular drink pay someone on minimum wage £30k a year to simply be there when you want to be taken elsewhere. Done.
