I am following the game on the BBC ticker and I know that Liverpool are somewhat better than us but does the commentary have to be so one sided in Liverpool's favour and belittling of Watford? No mention, as yet of Joe Gomez's yellow card either.
I guess you have all given up and found something better to do? Not an unexpected result but we did have our moments, just lack quality against such a team. till the next time....
Utterly outclassed in all departments and we didn't deserve nil. Britos had a shocker. And we simply must work on the basics off passing accurately. On the bright side - it's 93 degrees outside so I am going to work in the garden with an ice cold beer or three.
Yes... Son is planning to drive over in our 4*4 to pick up...the pennines may be dire... We are already delayed by almost 2 hours.. Going to be a late night... Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
To put it kindly he didn't have the best of games. To be fair to him I did notice that the back of one leg had that wide tape you see a lot of these days. It went from sock to shorts, and maybe further. I did not get a clear sighting up his shorts!
Didn't help he is very slow and hardly kicked a ball all season playing against such a powerful and quick player .. Even Doucourae seemed to be caught out going for the ball too slowly. If the opposition attack are in the mood our defence can look really silly which they were.
Having slept on it, I wonder if Gracias got the tactics wrong and set us up badly. Even so we had a mare against quality and even TD did not seem to be interested although he was ploughing a lone furrow, I did wonder why he was substituted for Okaka rather than having them both upfront for the end of match assault. That's the last really bad fixture out of the way for a while I think.
Struck me as a collective no-show. I wasn't entirely surprised at the result but I was surprised at how poorly we played. I watched last week's MotD2 this afternoon and reflected on the opportunities we created and the problems caused. Distinctly lacking yesterday. Woeful performance compared with last weekend.
My friends at dinner today had seen the highlights, and they thought we were undone by Salah rather than too many faults on our side. The comment that still comes up is how uneven the PL is. A few teams with the money, then the rest.
Listened to the first half then we had to leave to get away for the Bank holiday here. That was a tonking. No one showed up. Grim. Still to score away under Gracia.
I didn’t think we were that bad. We won the ball well but we lacked finishing skill. Richarlison really must improve his finishing. His header looked like a defensive header back to the keeper. Where was his instinct to kill that ball? He must be more aggressive to be anything other than a “winger”. Capoue couldn't be arsed to put in a shift, his final touch was woeful. He doesn’t care. Outside of that, you just have to sit back and admire Salah. I said to a Liverpool fan I know: “We lost 1-0 to you and 4-0 to Salah.” He left international players on their arses several times with wonderful, imaginative movement and touches. He was a joy to watch.
