I liked what he said about our endeavour finally matching Wigan’s, which allowed us to show our superior quality. A posher version of Nigel’s “hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard”.
I note that Stephens was one of the last to congratulate Cedric.....wanted to make sure his feet were firmly on the ground.
I thought Stephens was telling him to get back in position, judging by the way he pointed to the far corner of the pitch.
Don't know what match it was, but saw (on TV) a little lad holding a sign saying: Born to play for Southampton, then be sold to Liverpool.
Sounds like the voice of experience. My brother and niece live in Christchurch, having moved from London. They think everyone drives like OAP's.
If I’d said Tim Notke no one would have known who I meant! Nigel popularised it among Saints fans, who are the only people who actually matter in the context of this forum.
That quote is now officially an Adkins Aphorism Don't care if Socrates, Marcus Aurelius or Ghandi said it first - once Nige says it, it's his.
Can be frustrating at times, but sure beats the highly competitive and aggressive driving I’ve experienced elsewhere. You even get let out at side roads and are allowed to cross a zebra crossing!! Don’t knock it, relax and go with the flow. The death toll of New Forest ponies in this last year has been dreadful, so on that part of the world even more care required it seems.
Did both north and south island in a camper in 2011. We've been to a lot of nice places around the world, but I think NZ is the best by a long way.
My son hired a campervan a couple of years ago and drove all round South Island - he got a ticket for speeding.
