For now. Let's not get too cocky about this, shall we! It might be wise to see how the land lies at the end of the season, yeah?
Amazing amount of rattle from a simple question of ‘who’s better’ Might even get a visit from the old bill over this
It is not often that we agree on matters, Stan, but you could well be correct. I'm going to be a bit more generous than you and suggest that Salah may be forced to play one more season with 'Pool.
Spurs fans won't like this: Shots on target United - 148 Spurs - 176 Goals scored United - 58 Spurs - 59 Who has the deadliest strike force? I bet HIAG refuses to give a straight answer on that.
Trust me, us Yids do not mind Kane having competition. He was in for the Ballon d'Or not so long ago, in competition with Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar. I think all the sensible posters want to do is point out, calmly and without any evidence of being rattled, that Salah has had one decent season but that one Swallow does not make a Summer.
Yep. Both me and Stan tend to agree with you that 'Pool will struggle to hold onto him. I think Klopp will force him to play another year at Anfield, though. That's what 'Pool did with Suarez.
And De Bruyne has only been world class for one season but half of this country is on their knees asking for his cum in their mouths, especially you, in a literal sense.
Funnily enough we've actually acknowledged something similar to this on our board. Outside of Kane and Son, the rest of our attacking players have poor conversion rates.
Those stats show just how close things have been. We've made far more chances on goal than United, but you've take one more of those chances than we have. I'm not saying that we will definitely take your spot in the table, this season, but it would be foolish in the extreme for anyone to deny us the possibility of doing just that.
Fact is we convert more of the chances we create than you do. This is with players like Sanchez and Pogba misfiring and us missing two players to complete our squad. Imagine how big the gulf could become if we take Kroos and Alderweireld this summer, and Sanchez/Pogba start to produce consistently.
Look at the poll Leslie, its not even close! how do you feel now about other peoples thoughts or are you so much up Spurleys arse you don't care?
It is certainly good to dream, Tel. I would never want to deny a man his dreams. It goes without saying that either of Kroos or Alderweireld would strengthen you, although I am not sure if Mourhino would get the best out of those players. Plus, Alderweireld has been crocked quite a lot in recent months. As for Sanchez and Pogba, both are clearly great players, but you wouldn't know it from looking at them playing in United's colours. Mourhino has destroyed Pogba, and it looks as though he's doing the same with Sanchez. My real worry is that United sack Mourhino and get someone decent in.
@Tel I'd be inclined for us to do a swap in the Summer - Rose for Luke Shaw. I reckon we'd had the best out of Rose, but I think that Poch can get so much more out of Shaw. What do you reckon? Do you think that would be a good swap?
You were adamant Sanchez would turn United down back in January so what you say really has no weight either way. Funny how Jose has managed to ruin all of these players and we are awful and the players are all ****e, yet we are likely to still finish above Spurs who are invincible
It would be a good swap for you. Rose is an average left back, he really doesn't offer us anything, Ashley Young is much better.
It was certainly my opinion that Sanchez should have walked away from United's offer. It think it's the wrong club for him, and I am being proven right in that. He could surely have got the same cash from City, if it's only the money he's interested in? {quote]Funny how Jose has managed to ruin all of these players and we are awful and the players are all ****e, yet we are likely to still finish above Spurs who are invincible [/QUOTE] I'm not quite sure what point you are trying to make, here, Tel? Spurs finished above United last season, and this season has ended yet.
Well we can reassess this after the next three rounds of fixtures or you can just not be a mong and understand what a goal conversion rate is.
