The weird thing about that, is though it was a driverless car, it actually had a driver in it.

The problem with that is, they took the piss out of him going to rehab on I'm A Celebrity, I'm not so sure they can make light of drink driving on Saturday Night Takeaway.

Although if they want to, I've got some great one liners.

I agree. Yet they get away with ripping them all off week after week. Then collect awards.

    Pair of ****s.

I didn't see the program so i am only going by your taking the piss bit, if those celebrities on the program and the producers took his going into rehab seriously rather than taking the piss, making light, making a laugh and joke about it he may not have gone of the rails again.

I did work for a copper recently, we discussed drink driving and the old days where especially in the country drinking and driving home was not even questioned, he said that accidents where people crashed their cars aren’t just or even two or three pints over the limit, they are pissed, not able to stand up pissed, just like Ant was yesterday, that video of him shows he couldn’t focus or stand up properly.

The cops doing people at 9 the next morning on the count back is stupid being just over the limit after a night out doesn’t mean your a drunk driver at all, it just means your above a number set in law, accident causing drink drivers are usually massively over the limit and should get jail time, and drug drivers should be banned for life

And yet I’ve photographed loads of accidents, and deaths, where the driver was just over the limit.

It impairs decision making and is dangerous.

It also ****s lives up. Usually someone else’s.

If someone who had 2 and a half pints and has had a crash I suggest they are **** drivers rather than drunk drivers. The drink in them is just an excuse for the accident.

It may affect a non drinker or a young kid but even then would it really affect someone who drinks regularly so much that they would crash a car? I doubt it very much.

I understand the reaction, I really do. But no, I think he's a decent man with issues. I'm sure he'll accept the laws opinion of him. It's **** and, looking at the photos, it could have been much worse; but it wasn't and thank **** for that. If I come across as a defender of him then so be it, but come on, if we were all so perfect...

...punish him, but understand the world we live in.

    Right.

So you’re clearly in the “I’m a good driver and I can drink and drive just fine” camp.

I’ve photographed the aftermath caused by ****s like you too. And listened to them swear blind they were just fine to drive, never had any crashes in the past.

Anyone suggesting that having a drink doesn' impair your driving needs to visit some of these fatal and serious accidents .. perhaps then the penny would drop. The so called 'cop's who suggests only pissed drivers cause accidents is cherry picking at best. Studies have repeatedly been done were, no matter how large your tolerance levels are, prove beyond doubt that it slows the thought processes. Wise up .. if your gonna get behind the wheel then do it alcohol/ drug free.

I agree but my point was, the copper said that in most cases where drinking drivers crash, they are massively over the limit to the point where they can’t stand or even speak.

I said I doubted wether 2 a half pints would impair a regular drinker to drive. Like Ant looked
