I'll walk to Leicester carrying Nicky Maynard if they're going to give us silly money for him, but that's providing not a penny is given to our current ****witted manager !

Haha - oh dear for Millen. Doesnt look to rosie. On a bit of a sidenote...i am currently a fox in exile (York). I have seen York play a numerous times, and so saw the might Woolford play. I also regarded him as having a brain for the game, and certainly one of Yorks best players (im sure he has some qualification in accountancy or similar too). I gather Robins opinion of him is not great - but why?

When he signed for us, having seen him play for Scunny in previous seasons I thought we'd got a very decent player. He's not been given that many games by Millen and frankly hasn't played well when selected either. Looks like another lame duck for us !

You're more than welcome to pick him up. The whole ordeal has been terrible on him. He looks like he's aged several years and he's recently changed his last name to "Hunt". Either way, drop off the money and come pick him up.

Woolford is yet to get a real chance, he has been quite unfortunate that Bristol City fans always need to blame someone, with LJ, Hunt, and Stewart out of the team he was probably having a bad day and now that it for him.

David James is the same, couple of poor games and suddenly he is not fit to wear the shirt, we are still awful with Gerkin in and the buck gets passed on to someone else.

Our form always seems to come down to one poorly selected player? as opposed to a poor team effort.

Also Marivn Elliot has been bad for a few years now but because he was brilliant in his first year appears untouchable. Bizzare.

how can you say marvin elliott has been "bad", last season was the best season he has played in a city shirt, and the tail end of gary j's era and when milly took charge till cop out came in he was brilliant, prob the only player that gave 100% for johnson and milly 2 seasons ago

but becasue he miss places a few pass's you call him bad, please describe to me (other than passing) how he has been bad??????

Lcfcfox1 - calm down son. Wolves and QPR have shown an interest. You may yet be made to look a fool....

Last season he was average at best. All he is good at is scoring headers and chasing the ball. But because he 'gives 100%' it makes him brilliant? Not in my book.

His positioning is terrible, watch how often he loses his man at set pieces when defending. Doesn't read the game well, gets caught out of position frequently in a 2 man midfield. He can't control a ball without it going about 5 meters in any direction and he can't even make a simple pass. For god's sake, yes he scored 8 or something goals last year but if our midfield could pass then i'm sure other areas of our team would score more.

I do appreciate the 'job' he does as an enforcer but Cisse is better at it in every department, except winning headers I suppose. He does have good games, don't get me wrong, but he is nowhere near the form of his first season here. I just wish we'd sold him to Wolves and taken the money when we had the chance.

I know what you mean, i can only assume that its Maynard telling the board he doesnt want to leave, leaving the boards hands tide! Maynard will probably stay here, wait for his contract to run out and then get a massave signing on fee from his new prem club! crap for us, good for him.

'Marivn Elliot has been bad for a few years now'

Lummie - Think you still play. The way I judge a player is would I have liked to played against him.

Marvin is our No 1 midfielder.
In their box he's picked up by the opposing CH - what does that tell you.
In our box he's the one to pick up their 'dangerman'.
Great in the air in midfield and the best 'presser' of a ball in the Championship.
OK he can't pass, but in a balanced Championship side you need Marvin Elliot.

Shiny - don't let them get you down mate.
Ask them who SC, the Pompey manager rates as our 'stand out' player.

This is what I've been saying for ages - If Maynard was coming to Leicester then BCFC would have done the deal, got the cash and done some business to strengthen their team - They clearly aren't going to sell to Leicester

It's no surprise Leicester are back for NM after he took the piss out of them last week.
We'll miss him but as Lummiepie says if we spend the money on strengthing the squad we have to trade.

Gotta say though it would be nearly as funny as the Gas going down if he went anywhere but Leicester

SC - who has built a team entirely 6ft plus that play the long ball game well, of course he's going to rate him!

For Marv to be fully effective we need Cisse playing to cover him when he makes his runs forward. Otherwise it's far too easy for them to counter attack.

I understand that but the idiot in charge doesn't.

I don't as it happens, but if it is true and we turn it down then The Board have lost the plot imo.

If the other recent thread turns out to be true, it would suggest that SL might be taking a hand personally before the situation deteriorates any further. Should this be the case, Nicky might be persuaded to stay and re-sign with of course the appropriate release clause, if he likes what he sees ...
