Sad to say this but he looks resigned in that picture rather than elated.Maybe its just me?

Still delighted with signing and a mark of very good things to come.

    Brilliant.

Great signing! As for all the talk about thinking, not looking happy etc I think most humans would need some time if a newcastle-London move was on the cards

"Resigned" is exactly it, RTID. Still, he'll settle in and we'll all help him to feel at home on the 10th September...

Can he play Saturday? Before he signed all the talk suggested that he needed to sign before 12 noon to be elegible for Wigan. Anyone know if that was the case?

I will always have a special relationship with the Geordie nation but sadly they are not the decision makers at St James' Park.
I wish to thank each and everyone of them sincerely for their support.
I am incredibly excited to be joining QPR at this pivotal time in their history and plan to give my all for the club."

Biggest player we have signed? Normally we sign players on the way up and sell them on, or sign them on the way down and regret it! Is this the first time that we have ever signed someone at the height of their career, or am I just over excited?!

I reckon we've just got ourselves a proper captain...

Question is will it be de facto or actual?

A quality move for you guys. It shows you have a bit of ambition, unlike our shambles of a club under Ashley. Joey didn't want to go, but you can bet he will give 100% for QPR and will kick other players' backsides if they don't do likewise, regardless of how unpopular that makes him. QPR would be wise to make him captain. You can guarantee he will make a difference.

I will follow his career with a great deal of interest.
