Not a bad wee life; getting fed every day and provided with a warm bed every night. Nae rows or drawbacks when you go out hunting 'pussy' in the evening!

My 'plan' was to get a pet dug (for the first time) when I started to receive my state pension in January 2020 however, depending on the coming months when I have two trips to Koln planned, this might kick in towards the end of this year.

Small white terrier the current favourite however the final choice will be small/medium who does not require excessive exercise.

Its a bit like having kids Kenny. Never really a good time to start it all off. They can be limiting and expensive but also hugely rewarding. We are moving permanantly to Spain in a few weeks time and of course taking our 8yo Weimerarner with us. We are driving all the way so as not to put him through the stress of flying, enough said....

Good luck on your family's move to Spain; city or seaside?

As a sixty three and ten twelfths years old responsible bachelor I am unable to assess or compare the responsibility, knowledge and maturity required for the commencement and nurture of a human family to being a dug owner however I think I might just about manage the needs of a four legged sentient being who will be a lot smarter than the head of the pack!

Anyway; gotta get back alive from the fun'n'games in Koln-a-go-go!

Seville is, I think, the only Spanish city which might keep me away from Bayern, Nord-Rhein Westfalia and wider Germany. I have however to admit that this desire is based solely on a crime drama which appeared on, I think, BBC 4. The main character a detective, and I make no judgement on his lifestyle, was a functioning coke taking individual. Seville appeared a beautiful city with many smart bars and bodegas however please do not think I visit cities based solely on their alcoholic beverage outlets; this bonus might however account for up to 80% of the reasons/excuses for my intended 'targets'.<cheers>:emoticon-0159-music<bubbly>:emoticon-0158-time::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

Seville is beautiful city Kenny. The old town is all tight streets and full of history. Some of the architecture is truly amazing. The odd thing about Seville is that more often than not it is usually a few degrees hotter than anywhere else in Spain, it seems to have its own micro climate. I love the place, just need to work out which team to support.

Once attended the 'old' football stadium in Seville to see Scotland get stuffed as usual. Great time at the match with the locals drinking wine out of strange receptacles followed by local hospitality then the service bus back to Torremolinos! I recall the tight and narrow streets however the architecture 'escaped' me that night!

Football team; are you a glory hunter, traditionalist or downright contrary?

In Seville it is very hot but there are some cities in Spain where it does even more. Córdoba is one of them, even in summer in Madrid it is often hotter than in Seville.

So you get Southern Spain in a few weeks and I get Southern Wales in around 7-8 weeks! I’m doing something wrong somewhere, methinks!
