90 mins scores, as always. I didn’t know there wasn’t replays. How long has that happened at the 1/4s?
Incorrect. There are at least 10 draws predicted by punters for FAC fixtures in their posts above. In the past, in such situations, we have used the 90 minute score rule if extra time was a possibility in games. Had I been aware of the new rules for Q/F FAC games( elimination of replays), I would have reminded everyone in the fixture list. The 90 minute score makes sense as every fixture plays 90 mins. How would you determine a 3-pointer if a game was won via a penalty shootout with the match tied after extra time ? I see 4 options: 1) Final score as you propose 2) VOID all 3 FAC fixtures 3) Leave as I stipulated in my albeit late reminder (90 minute score), the rule we have used several times in the past 4) VOID the whole round. If you wish to set up a poll CT, be my guest, just don't consult the Allams for advice .
I didn't know there were no replays (it still didn't occur to me until I saw this even though I noticed Cheslea and Leicester in extra time yesterday!) but it has always been the score at 90 minutes before so keep it at that for me.
Have to say I`ve always adhered to the 90 mins scoreline, thought that had been the agreement from the off tbh (and yes I did predict a 1-1 draw for Leicester v Chelski at 90 mins )
