Just watching the second half....I'm brave when I know we won. Well done to Saints, but also to the fans who sang themselves hoarse. Noticed that when Hojbjerg leapt in the air after scoring he brought his foot down on Stephens important little place.
I think it's key now to play the same 11 for the rest of the season.. get familiarity up to stay up, Then next year we can look at progressing.
Poor old Les. On here, he’s either picking the team and interfering or not getting involved in the coaching enough. Who can argue that Pelligrino should have gone a few weeks ago, but I can understand that the club would have hoped we won enough points to pull clear and sort it out during the summer. Hopefully there is enough time, and I saw that a lot of the players were smiling and laughing during the game (which was played in a good spirit from what I saw) hopefully indicating a happy dressing room.
Bertrand said that as Hughes is going to play two up front we have to get the ball to them. Confidence and belief in the manager is what this team needs....may be too late (who knows) but at least we can hope to see better football.
Poor old Les my Arse . He should be communicating with the fans , for better or for worse , when the **** hit's the fan , people like him need to communicate IMHO .
I’d probably go along with that but in the pre match interview Hughes hinted that those not involved today WILL be involved before the end of season
Oh and a shout out to Wigan's manager....he was able to wish us the best of luck three times in a short interview. Mourinho should perhaps watch and try to learn about real class.
I’d rather board members kept quiet personally. Just want to see entertaining football (as I’m sure Les does)
Missed that interview, But Romeu, YEP and Austin are first team players.. so k would agree and Yoshi too!
What I liked about Marks team today was, he was seeing who would fight, who he could rely on. And although the first half was shaky, I think its helped him k Skate hater. Who knew......
I am putting the first half down to new manager, new tactics and a hangover from MP2. Second half they started playing football again. This was the perfect game to find your feet - as good as Wigan played, if we had that first half in the Premier League, the other team would be out of sight. Oh, and we are in the FA Cup Semi Final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We would have lost today were MP in charge. Of that, I am certain. Welcome change, come in and make yourself at home.
