Funnily enough, I couldn’t hear their fans other than the goal celebrations. Does Monk think somebody with long hair looking so good called Irvine plays for them because that was near enough the only chant for most of the second half that was audible.
There was somebody at a bus stop clutching their face as an ambulance saw to them. Otherwise, didn’t see anything.
I remember winning back to back against Crystal Palace and Liverpool. We were safe then, and went on to lose some crucial remaining games. Then we got relegated. We are far from safe, and still need more wins on the board. Another 10 points I think.
I don’t see Sun’lan & Burton getting enough points to go above us, Birmingham might spring up with Monk in charge, but Barnsley, Reading & Bolton all to get more points than us, even if we don’t get anymore, our goal difference will be enough. Birmingham also have an inferior gd too, so for me it’s as good as done. Only really 1 spot left! I think we’ll beat Villa in the next game too, which should be enough IMO!
Villa and Wolves next, if we do not pick up any points and Birmingham and Barnsley manage one win, then its back to 3 pts with six games to go. I think we need two more wins.
47 to stay up FACT *possibly not a fact obviously...but I said it a while ago and I’m sticking to it regardless of any actual facts. Also I’ve been drinking so I might not even have said it...I bloody thought it though
I reckon somewhere between 43 and 47 points, so yeah. Birmingham looked like a team capable of a few wins and their run-in is generous. Plus they have extra incentive to beat Wolves when they meet them. Barnsley will spunk a few points. Looks like Reading are going to ditch Stam and get a firefighter (arf!) in. Sunderland and Burton are ****ed.
