I must have missed something as well because last time I checked I'm sure we were in the Championship (and contrary to popular belief, probably will be there next season as well).
I still think that a CB is more important but would like to see us sign Waghorn, but i think we're keep bidding for Jay Rod. I reckon we will pay over the odds for him, maybe £5million.

Hand on heart what does the average fan really know about the players we are linked with Waghorn ,Rodrigues,Fontaine, Gorkess Baldock and some more makes me laugh any name is thrown into the ring and we all wet ourselves with excitment based on maybe seeing them on a fleeting visit to st marys or the odd clip on you tube we are just desperate to see a new face to freshen things up.We just have to trust the judgement of those who know better than us who scout and moniter these players over longer periods. Not a pop at the fans but it just makes me laugh how people say this or that player would be a great addition to the squad when they know jack **** about them.
Too right, whatever your personal stance on Waghorn is, if he signs for Saints - it's a new chapter in his career. A new slate in my opinion. I won't base my opinions on one performance, or even 5. I will judge at the end of the season. Nigel Adkins knows what he is doing, that's why he is the manager, and us forum members are not.
BBC Sport say Reading are signing Le Fondre, looks like the other teams are mopping up potential signings up.
Guys - relax! They are only potential signings if NA wants them. I doubt very much if we were ever interested in ALF. Most people on here say not Jay Rod, not Maynard, not Baldock -then some are questioning why we haven't been in for a 4th tier (apart from this season) striker. I simply despair. Patience - whoever does or doesn't arrive we still support the Saints regardless.
