Drink driving just shows the arrogance and attitude of so many footballers. If they want to go on the piss , they more than just about anybody can afford a taxi - even hire a driver for the whole day

And I was hoping to see him back, now just the back of him will do, along with about 10 others I could mention, including a few of our favourite on field leaders. Sadly it looks like Coleman still rates a few of them, so no immediate improvement any time soon.

    He’s been suspended
    Should of been sacked
There’s a out her one claiming wages for nowt
Maybe we are hoping some one will buy him when his contract runs out
Actually the money we could get if we did sell him may not make up for the wages he will get whitest suspended

Sunderland AFC has suspended Darron Gibson with immediate effect, after the player was charged with driving with excess alcohol on Saturday 17 March.
The football club has commenced a full investigation into the matter.
Sunderland AFC’s chief executive, Martin Bain said: “We expect the highest standard of behaviour from our players and should any individual fall short of those standards then robust action must be taken.”

All they need to do is a quick search on twitter and then cancel his contract.

Never has a club been so desperately badly represented more than ours. Other than the supporters, the whole club is deserving all it is getting at the minute, and more! The prospect of supporting an AFC Sunderland playing behind a local pub is seeming alot more appealing. Administration and liquidation might put us out of our misery. <laugh>

Ha ha great minds think alike I was actually thinking last night by the time Duncan is fully fit to play the team should be at his level we can watch them at King Georges park Pennywell.

Probably can't officially sack him till he's convicted at court. He'll probably click another months wages in the mean time.

You’d hope his contract stipulates his salary is stopped while suspended or he at least owes us retrospectively when convicted.

We’re the polar opposite of Carlsberg though, so we’ll have undoubtedly ****ed that one up too

He gets given any normal rights of employment as if he were joe bloggs.

Same as Johnson did. We can’t sack him under the suspicion of, despite the fact it’ll be true in my eyes.

    Add it to the list.

Yeh, but at the end of the season, he's another one out the door.

We're ****ed this season and going down. Far better to get rid of most of the useless clingons and start afresh in League 1.

Hopefully with a new owner. It'll take us a few years or so to get back but what the hell, it ain't the end of the world.

    Life moves on.

Everton should have sacked the **** when he was caught while with us, then we should have done the same to Rooney.
Mad many have said, they could employ a driver or a taxi firm and never drive again.

Hope the wage stealing **** does time. I’m just waiting for PFA and Taylor to call me out and say that he needs the support of the football family at this difficult time.
