When i'm old, i will live in a villa and have an army maid's on hand to clean up my spillages. It will not be a problem...
Reminds me how a Geordie knows which way round to put their kecks. Yellow at the front brown at the back.
Well, i'm only 31, so more time to prepare We're looking at villas now as it happens, can't buy yet, but it's a great time to look at a rental, you take a long term let at the end of the summer season, it's madness what you can get for your money. Smashing.
whats long term over there, in Cyprus its 12 months but when I look at Spain it seems more like 6 months
Anthing from 7 months basically mate, f you take 11 months, you get some unbelieveable deals. All about the timing, our current place was 1900 euro a month on a 3-6 month let, but we took 11 months and got it for 900 a month. The contracts aren't even binding, you can lave with a months notice, it's insanity really. You can get a 3 bed 2 bath townhouse, new build, 20 metres from the beach, private pool in Naguelles, right between Marbs & Banus, for around 1100 a month if you take it end Sep, for 11 months, it sounds a lot, but the same property would be 100 a WEEK between mid May and Sep. Like i say, timing, and length of commitment, and you are on a real winner.
Back to Cyprus then, I can get a 3 bed villa with private pool in Tala or Peya on a 12 month deal, fully furnished with sky tv for 500 a month
Decent going that mate, you could get a similar deal here, if you didn't mind being a wee bit out of the centre. Some beautiful places in El Rosario, Las Chappas & Riviera, all within 10 mins drive to Marbella, for around that mark. Once you get towards Marbs and Banus though, the value of property, it's obscene. Apartments are available from maybe 150k euro, but they are tiny or dated, a decent place is at least 450k, and many are well above the million. The place we had on the Quayside in Newcastle (225k), would be easily 1.2million euro here, even though the market has plunged, it's still extraordinarily high.
yes, we want to be on the outskirts, to the south, of Paphos, a few bars and shops and easy drive into town.
Aye, it's amazing what's out there if you dodge the centres. I need to be central, i'll finish at 7am tomorrow morning, and i need to be home, sleep, sorted and ready to go again for midday, what i'd save in money, i'd probably lose in years on the planet, it's just not worth it. For sure when i'm older, i'll gladly sacrifice a wee bit of convenience though.
Oh to be young. Cyprus has been hit hard by the slump, lots of places for sale and bargains to be had. Well, its raining outside but Osca needs a walk so back to the real world in Coxhoe for me.
