It's been mentioned that Gavin Williamson certainly didn't say "Shut up and go away" when accepting £30,000 to have dinner with Russian banker (and member of Putin's inner circle) Lubov Chernukin. But I'm sure this'll be mentioned on Newsnight with suitable graphics to illustrate the discussion...
Funny how this wasn't reported a couple of weeks ago. I can't think what possible importance it holds right now...
So the other Russian that died in the UK, businessman Nikolai Glushkov, was actually murdered. He fled to the UK to seek asylum, having been incarcerated on fraud and embezzlement charges. He was the former business partner of Boris Berezovsky, another dead oligarch who fell out with Putin and Abramovich.
Let me guess, Harry Kane dived? ...wait, sorry, wrong Narrative the media keep using to maintain the status quo in spite of the fact it's crumbling before their eyes.
Many many (and many more) years ago the BBC had a discussion on the losses being made by British Steel - yes it was that long ago when there still was a British Steel. It was on Nationwide or similar early evening news programme, I think it was chaired by Sue Lawley. The debate occurred in front of a rather unique gadget, perched on a table in the background. They called it the "steel clock". It was calibrated to move in pounds (sterling) and increased with time. So instead of saying something like "British Steel is losing £50,000 per day" (or whatever it was), you get a losses clock ticking over while there is supposed to be a serious debate going on.
7th February 2018: Gavin Williamson accepts £30,000 to have dinner with Putin's former finance minister Vladimir Chernukhin 27th February 2018: the Tories block a bill to introduce Magnitsky clauses, which would prevent the flow of Russian dark money into the UK 15th March 2018: having not covered the story, the BBC instead decide to Photoshop an image of Jeremy Corbyn on Newsnight to imply he is the Russian stooge And, yes, I will back up the claim that they Photoshopped the image for that backdrop, because here's a side-by-side comparison of the original image and the one broadcast (which can be compared with the clip I posted on the previous page) please log in to view this image
I wonder if a day will arrive when the Russians admit to something? I also wonder if they would admit to being Russian?
Back in January Putin admitted to instances of doping in Russian athletes. So now to see if the Dire Leader or Orange Overlord have admitted to anything in the period since then...
Back in 2013, in the run-up to the proposed vote for military action in Syria, David Cameron allowed Ed Miliband access to the top-level briefings. In 2018, after the Salisbury nerve agent attack, the Dire Leader refused to allow Jeremy Corbyn access to top-level briefings, thus depriving him of key intelligence that just so coincidentally has somehow been spun into him being Stalin's best mate by her mates in the media ever since. Yet somehow, rather than be headline news, this story is buried behind The Times' paywall.
What is Putin up to? Is it war? Is he trying to bring back the old Soviet system with him doing his best Stalin imitation of putting the boot in...hard!?
Putin? Everybody knows that it was a false flag attack orchestrated by the British government to derail Britait - according to UKIP MEP Richard Wood, who has said exactly that "Theresa May has been absolutely stupid because she is now in a hole over Brexit with the European Union and the EU is doing its best to keep Britain in and we want to be out. The whole point about this fiasco is that something happened and Mrs. May is now being able to point another finger at Russia and say this is our enemy. They are finding some excuse to actually blame Russia for something else so Russia becomes a big bad man again to take the pressure off Theresa May with the Brexit negotiations because she is not getting anywhere. Everybody I speak to is not on her side and not against Russia. I do think it was staged."
He's warning anyone that wants to testify against Russia or Trump in America. Speak out and you and your whole family get murdered horribly.
Boris Johnson on Andrew Marr admits to the Tories having received £160k for him to play a game of tennis with a Russian woman linked to Putin. And he confirms that the ‘impressive’ new Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson took £30k to have dinner with the same Kremlin-linked individual. Blusters his way through as usual, trying to deflect - and unfortunately gets a helping hand from Marr. Political fundraising is a murky business at the best of times, but you would expect there to be a verified audit trail to identify the original source of funds coming from such a dubious source, wouldnt you?. (Rhetorical question alert......)
Interestingly, John McDonnell appeared on Peston a bit later, primarily to defend Corbyn’s position on the Russia issue and matched up against (ambushed by) Tory MP Anna Soubry and Labour MP Chris Leslie. Now, I’m not a fan of McDonnell, wouldn’t vote for him and to paraphrase Anne Widdicombe, he has ‘something of the night about him’, but Soubry was very un-Parliamentary in her personal verbal attack. Clearly some history involved here....... so I found this clip from QT a couple of years ago, which highlights the enmity and the helpful text comments also highlight some clear bias from the Chair. Leslie, who is a product of New Labour and resigned from the Front Bench after Corbyn was selected leader, has various axes to grind and clearly chosen to assist the days narrative. He certainly didn’t disappoint and a Cabinet position awaits if he ever switches sides
The fact that New Labour and the Tories stand side by side tells you all you need to know. The neo liberal agenda is what matters to these people because it enriches them and their friends. The tide appears to be turning as the populace finally begins to wake up to what is happening to their lives. The fact that it's taken nearly 40 years shows the appalling level of political awareness amongst the general population. They are much more interested in baking cakes. Marie Antoinette wasn't all wrong perhaps.
