I thought with a handful of games left it would be fun to predict our final position for this season and also next season, will we gain promotion and if so have will we fair in the promised land ? , alternatively will we miss our this season , and if so how will we fare next, will we manage it next season ? My prediction is 8th this season , followed by promotion via playoffs next. Over to you ..
Personally think if current form continuous we are then going to finish around 12 to 14 if they can put a run together then a possible playoff spot is there to take. Next season all depends on players here, and players going.
All most impossible to finish 14th! just an outside chance would be as low as 12th 10th is probably the lowest we can finish ......
So... 'I think if we play bad we'll finish low, but if we play well we'll finish higher'. Bold, bold stuff there RR.
I want to believe we can nick 6th, but I think in reality we will be 7th or 8th. Still a great season and improvement on last season wherever we finish from here!! Hoping Joe and Aden come back well rested from suspensions ad raring to go - that break should have done them as individuals the world of good going into the last 2 months of the season, it may just be the difference...
Personally I don’t think this team is ready for the Prem. I would like us to go up when we’ve got a team who needs tweaks rather than an overhaul when we get there. I know people like RR will just say go out and buy a new team, because he thinks all of SL’s money is technically City’s to spend if we do go up. However if we do that we then could end up coming down the following season with players like Hull, Sunderland and a few others. The ones that do not give a **** about us and just leave us or a big wage bill that is out of control. I’m not saying I would be unhappy, if it is this season. When it does happen I would like us to be sort of like Brighton or Burnley a team with players who were nearly ready for the step up, that just needed a player here and there. So next season I would like to go up.
I don't think anyone has the luxury of choosing when an opportunity for promotion comes along - if we are fortunate enough to get promoted this season, I'm sure it'd be better than not.
think 8th this season, play offs hopefully next, if we keep best players and buy wisely over the summer. (still think a top striker required, with a proper play maker in midfield). I know getting these players is easier said than done.
