No Hesketh or Sims for the u23s tonight.

 

I just mentioned Hesketh on the Academy thread. Wouldn’t expect Sims to be in that but sounds like Hesketh May travel to Wigan.

Hesketh was training with the first team.

 

Yeah, he usually does though, along with some of the others such as Alfie Jones who was in the latest training pics. he's playing tonight though.

 

basically saying he does not give two ****s what people think of him. He is the gaffer, the man with the last say, probably where the last two managers have gone wrong. you play well, you train hard and you make the team. having spent years under fergie I would expect him to have the same no bullshit approach to the job

 

Personally I am delighted with this ruthless approach at this moment in time. How many times have we discussed the reasons why Tadic kept being picked/not substituted despite so many poor performances?
We might see the old Tadic reappear or we might see him disappear unless he pulls his socks up

 

FA Cup weekend.

When asked by Mrs Fats to find some paperwork yesterday, I came across this. On the day of the draw in 1984, I was at school listening to the radio with mates. When we drew the blue few, I rushed to put a cheeky note into my Pompey supporting Year Head’s pigeon hole. I signed it Ardent Saints fan.

He knew who it was and below was his response and a photo of the cover, including cartoon me (for those who know me, yes I was blonde once!). It is worth zooming in for his wordsmith ways. I changed he title from my name to Read “Fat’s Fear”

That year we went to the semi-final.
