We are f*kd for the world cup. Look at that team. Some promising young players sure but where is the class!? Also what the hell are we doing with 4 goal keepers when there is only 1 recognised proper CF (Vardy) in that team. Wilson, Barnes or Murray should definitely been given a go to find out what they have got. I'm actually gutted for Lacelleas he should be in that squad and Shelvey is the option where he should have rolled the dice. If we end up playing with Vardy up front on his own we need someone who is going to play him though on goal in behind the defence.
I don't follow other team's players much these days so I guess I'm out of touch but I still have to say it: Who the **** are Joe Gomez, Nick Pope and James Tarkowski?
Joe Gomez is an interesting one as he's broken into the Liverpool first team this season (20 appearances) so benefits from the 'big club' but Pope and Tarkowski have been very very good for Burnley this year. There's no way we can complain about our players not being picked in favour of Burnley ones to be honest, look at the league and how they've been playing. Though personally I've preferred Mee to Tarkowski (though Burnley fans would obviously know better).
Oh I agree that's nuts. It's exactly what we shouldn't be doing. That ties in with my point though. Hope and Tarkowski have very much earned their spots though, just because they're not household names doesn't make it wrong.
