I liked this story about a rogue cat at the Besitkas v Bayern game. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43412781 Best bit was the Bayern fans voting the cat as MOTM
I do hope that Arsenal are professional enough to finish the job tonight. When we play them on the 9th, I would prefer them to have one eye on the last good chance of Champions League qualification. Yes, that would do nicely.
Same goes for Hart and West Ham He hasn't deserved to be included in the England squad for 18 months but will still more than likely be our number 1 in Russia.
At least he has experience though. Yes he's lacking game time, and his form is absolutely something to question, but he has experience. Given that your only going to use your second and third keepers in an emergency, his presence in the squad is at least something to debate. But Livermore?....
Livermore hasn't done anything to earn his place but like Hart his inclusion doesn't surprise me at all. Normally I'd agree on the experience debate but I think Hart is a huge liability and experience can only get you so far.
Woe is me on this day, the Ides of March!! My beloved (Athletic Bilbao) has let me down and I am in the depths of despair. I have no team left to cheer in the EL. Objectively they had little chance to begin with. For me, Atlético who somehow managed to get themselves eliminated from the CL, are by far the best team left, and if they don´t win it, they deserve to be hung-drawn and quartered. I will have to move my emotions on to Sevilla and lets´hope they can be the surprise package and go all the way in the CL inspired by the legendary Steven N´Zonzi. He was a favourite of Pat Murphy (5 Live) during his time with Villa and Stoke.
Yet again there was trouble in Bilbao tonight. It seems that visiting fans, whether they are from France or Russia or elsewhere, are determined to goad the fans of Athletic. Athletic will not be in Europe next time, but when they are back, perhaps the local pólice should send any visiting fan of a suspicious nature back on the first plane.
Bad luck Ides, but we've inevitably got RB Leipzig v RB Salzburg to look forward to next. The caffeinated sickly energy drink derby, or something.
I read that Besitkas have been charged with this cat entering the field of play. Meanwhile no action has been taken against the fans of Marseilles or Spartak for the riots that their fans contributed to in Bilbao. And Bilbao are not entirely innocent either. The pólice knew this was going to happen and should have sent all visiting fans back on the first place, train or whatever to avoid scenes that have brought the city of Bilbao into disrepute. Whatever we say about our clubs and pólice, the attitude is good. A few years ago, Millwall banned selling any away tickets to Portsmouth, Wolves, Forest and one or two others to avoid all these unsavoury scenes. I think pólice have also sent fans back on the first train if they turned up without any tickets, regardless of who they were. The País Vasco authorities need to implement these harsh measures.
This looks shocking. No comment yet from Topman but it doesn’t look good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-43424172
Its probably because Athletic are one of the worst clubs around, horrible club with some elitist opinion of themselves.
