Coyle has said time and time again that he's willing to sell at an acceptable price. Why doesn't Wenger just bid it? We don't even need the cash! Just spend spend spend!
Why would we go in at a price we know they will accept rather than trying to test the water and push them for a better deal for ourselves? He is in the last year of his cntract - we have some strength in our negotiating position here. Can people please stop calling for the club to do stupid things. Yes i think Cahill would be a good back-up CB signing but we should conduct all transfers to give us the best possible outcome. Spending £17 million on a player we can get on a free next season is not good business. Using this a leverage to get the price down closer to £10 million would be good business. We shall see.
Omg your right we dont need money just ****ing spend it all 34 million for cahill 20 for samba 74 for kaka 50 for falcon punch
Agree. £10m would be a fair price. Any more and it sucks for us. I guess £12m wouldnt be a disaster. But £17m for an average cb in the last year of his contract? Joke. I would be tempted to just pick him up on a free next year tbh. Man u dont need him. Chelsea are looking elsewhere for a centra back. City dont need more players, so the only place he could end up is loserpool. But they dont seem interested. Bolton either sell to us now or lose him to us on a free next year. I would bid no more than £10m.
The 'story' came from the Mirror, and you are quoting the Sun Listen to Wenger's response, Coyle admits he heard the amount from someone else and Arsenal never do business in public. This stinks of media lies.
He also said he heard it from a third party, maybe you should listen more carefully and not jump to conclusions.
Hazard's a proper signing, well done if you sign him, But cahill nothing more than an average player.
He just join Atheltico madrid for £34million. Try Gonzalo Higuain, for £25million-30million, and you'll get him
no figure was mentioned, everyone is making asumptions on the amount of the bid, maybe they consider a 12 m bid to be derisory. you are talking about stuff that you know absolutley nothing about.
you and i know that 12 m is a fair offer but my point is that maybe the bolton board think they can screw a few more million out of arsenal by using such langauge, if you listen to the interview, coyle does not even know what the offer was, he was merley told that it was derisory (or worse than derisory). once again no figure has been mentioned by anyone apart from the tabloid press.
12 mil is a good first offer tbh, coyle has even come out and said no offer for him before yesterday/today, so arsenal might/will put in another or maybe just go elsewhere
