Do hope you're wrong with the 'sneaky feeling' but certainly hope you're right with CC and SS! Good luck today! <ok>
    (You still in Yorkshire?).

That reluctant morning glance at the dwindling coffers after two days failure went better than expected. I even smiled, nodded and muttered "bring it on".

Kicking the day off with Finians Oscar and some speculative Mullins doubles and Trebles. They all look tricky today, more so with Townend taking over UDS.

I've also been having a good hard look at Theos Charm but can't say I'm particularly confident about anything at all.

As BFM put it, "cowardly arse covering" could be the order of the day.

Conservative, baw-on-the-deck betting on Tuesday for me saw a profit - Gung Ho E/W silliness lost some of it yesterday.

The horse I'm most confident on today is UDS but, even then, I fear CC, CD or Frodon could take it from behind after the last jump.

I was in two minds about Terrefort so that has made my mind up - Shattered Love it is then.

Have I completely lost the plot here or is 50/1 about Taj Badalandabad a tad too big?
I know "inconsistent" is a fair understatement, but there is some ability there & if Powers are going to offer me 6 places, I think I might have a little e/w tickle....:emoticon-0105-wink:
Sorry BFM, no George Takei pictures.(I won't ask what you're doing with them):emoticon-0136-giggl

    Hi all,

It been a fair while since I have posted on here but thought I would make a reappearance for the festival! Nice to see plenty of familiar faces are still here! Going for the below today...

    1.30 Shattered Love 7/1
This is far too big a price for a horse that has some good form in the book. She has finished ahead of RSA winner Presenting Percy and beaten Jury Duty over the course of the season. Gordon Elliot and Jack Kennedy hit their stride on Wednesday and she must have a huge change. Invitation Only needs a longer trip for me. Benatar has to improve and I couldn't be having Finian's Oscar after the season he has had. Terrefort could be a danger having shown a lot of promise in his two runs so far but at the prices I think Shattered Love rates a fantastic bet.

    2.10 Thomas Campbell 25/1
Finished a good fifth in the Martin Pipe last year and has improved a lot this year to win two good handicap hurdles at the course over 3 miles. He has then been racing in top class staying hurdles and not been disgraced. He gets first time blinkers here which can hopefully bring about more improvement. This will take some winning off top weight but at 25/1 he is worth an each way bet.

    2.50 Cue Card 5/1
Although now a 12 year old, Cue Card showed he retains all his ability with a storming run last time out when running second behind Waiting Patiently. He won this race in 2013 and would bring the house down if he could win it again. I don't think 2m5f on heavy ground will see Un De Sceaux to best effect. He wasn't seeing the race out as well as you would like last year and so i think the ground could really blunt his finishing effort and he would be vulnerable to a confirmed stayer such as Cue Card. Losing the services of Ruby Walsh is also a big negative for him.

    3.30 The New One 16/1
A horse i have always loved and is finally getting a chance over 3 miles. He seems just as good as ever this year and the ground should be no issue. He has consistently ran well in the champion hurdle but would always get outpaced at the crucial stage. He has proven his liking for the 2m4f trip and although this is a step into the unknown, he is a horse i have always thought would relish this trip. Getting to run on the new course at Cheltenham will also help as it places more of an emphasis on stamina which is one reason why i always think TNO has never quite run to form in champion hurdle (ran on the speedier old course). In truth this is a wide open race where any number of winners wouldn't surprise, especially Supasundae, Bacardys and Sam Spinner. Two i couldn't be having with stolen money are Yanworth and Unowhatimeanharry. Its not the strongest of selections but i think TNO is worth a bet at a big price.

4.10 Guitar Pete 18/1 Viconte Du Noyer 40/1
A formerly high class hurdler in his novice days, Guitar Pete lost his way for a long time before joining Nicky Richards a year ago. Since then he has been remarkably consistent and has run well in some good handicaps. Two starts ago he won at the course beating some very good horses. he was raised 5lbs for that and was in the process of running a big race last time before unseating. He runs off the same mark today and has Ryan Day on board who seems to have a really good relationship with him.
Viconte Du Noyer is a horse that has been running below form this season but has had a wind op and is 1lb below his last winning mark. The Tizzard yard is in good form and if the wind op sparks him back into life he could run well at a big price.

    4.50 Laurina 4/6
Unoriginal but she has the best form in the race by a mile and should beat these with the minimum of fuss. Stick her in all multiples as she won't be beaten.

    5.30 Sugar Baron 12/1
Ran two very good races this year including at Cheltenham and should relish this test. Katie Walsh is on board who is one of the top amateurs in the race which is always a ,massive positive in these amateur riders races. Sugar Baron should be flying at the finish when others have cried enough.

    Nap - Guitar Pete 18/1
    NB - Shattered Love 7/1

Good luck everyone who plays today!

Here's hoping they're bringing up the rear rather than taking it from behind.
