If you read what i actually said:

"...looks alot better than Vela, Bendtner or JET DID"

I haven't actually commented as to whether he is currently better than those players but rather suggested he is a better talent at the age he is at.

It has to be said though he does look better than the players mentioned... JET was over-rated, Vela is a good prospect but not living up to expectations and Bendtner is....well....Bendtner.

I know i'm fairly bold when i say he will succeed (since i say it so confidently) but he really is a class player.

I'm also very confident Ryo will do well and i haven't seen him play a minute in the league either.

Buit i have seen him play in the Dutch League last year and he is an exciting player

Only last year Wenger was saying JET was a beast, great shot strenght. blah blah, load of ****e he was talking sold him to some farmers market for buttons. That does not inspire me with confidence right now on his judgement, the best signings he has made he nicked from top acadamies who knew they were good but between one things and another were powerless to stop us. The madness needs to stop, and some decent signings brought in or we may be in a shambolic position come Jan.

Are these not the base minimum requirements for being an Arsenal first team squad winger, exciting, pace etc.. what about lets make a push and try all out to win somthing, get cover and strength all across the pitch. Nope, same old dribble about players out that have to come back. Bar Wilshire we had no one out midweek who could improve us. Diaby! Good lord he is he definition of frustration.

The only difference is that Ryo has played in the Dutch League/European League! Campbell under normal less desperate circumstances would have been loaned out to get European experience....... But desperate times calls for desperate measures right?

Like most fans upon hearing their club has signed an unkown will go for footages of the said player on youtube etc etc anything they can find to chew on.... However you have gone ahead of yourself by comparing the guy to players we already have and saying he is better.... "A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush" I would like to agree with you, but time would tell!

I've said he looks better than they did at the same age, and said i think he looks better than a couple of our current players (vela who is on loan and Bendtner who we expect to leave). And i bloody hope he is better than them or tehre realyl wasn't much point in signing him!

You can't deny he looks quality though :p

I will be so pissed if we buy Cahill. if he was that good Villa would not have sold him. other big teams would bid for him. Not all that.

I like your logic, I guess if Ashley Young was that good Watford would not have sold him, considering he almost did not even make it at Watford.... and if he was that good Villa would not have sold him....

If Gary Cahill does'nt come to Arsenal he'll end up at Chelsea or Man City where he will excel andArsenal fans will all moan that we did'nt buy him.

In many ways he's the natural successor to John Terry. He's a strong, aggressive old fashioned CB and exactly the kind of player Arsenal currently lack.

Crazy logic. Not worth getting into. People running down Cahill don't seem to know why! He is as solid as you can get at centre half, big strong committed and scores goals, wtf more do people want..

Precisely my point.... unless of course it is the price tag syndrome, he is a household name (yet), not an established international (yet), if we waited for all that to happen we might not be able to afford his boot laces!

I'd be happy with the signing of Cahill as back-up to Kosc and Verm. But i'll be pretty annoyed if we spend big money on him as imo he isn't worth the £17 million price tag that is being thrown around.

Why would you be annoyed? Have we not been told have major funds avail for transfers? We will never sign the world class players because we cannot pay the wages so for a centre half Cahill is as good as we are going to get. I have watched all the great Arsenal defenders over the years and he is typical of them and with the spirit to match. You don't look up youtube vids of Tony Adams to see stepovers, they do a job and it's a crucial one sometimes an ugly one.
Who bloddy cares if we pay a few million more to get a position sorted that has cause trouble for years. I guarantee you he will displace Kos in no time. It's not our job to calculate the interst on all the money in the bank, most of it came from our pockets and we want it spent on strengthening this threadbare squad or I will be pissed.

No it's not our job to calculate interest in the bank. It's not our job to recommend signings either, or choose the team or any of the other things it is up to the Manager to do - yet we evaluate the performance of all these aspects of his job.

And i would care because i don't want to see the club bow to pressure and make stupid signings. And Cahill is NOT worth £17 million. What a waste. He will be a back-up CB (a good one though i'll admit) and i do not think he would displace Kosc who is very underated.

Spending 10-12 million seems more reasonable. Also due to the contract situation i don't see why we should pay £17m when it is clear we can go in for less.
