My wife is Finnish. They won a hard fought battle against Russia for their independence. There is a saying in Finland (especially amongst the older generation) that nothing good ever comes out of Russia.

He does deserve a lot of criticism, I'm just not sure our country is in a position to crow about it. For me and you, the layman, for sure we should be critical of all these bastards. The election terms are a slight on democracy. As is the closed shop here meaning it doesn't really matter which of the parties in this country is in control, one is just slightly more ****ed up than the other in terms of abuse of its power.

I don't mean to go all doom and gloom but its a subject which always annoys me because this country, or rather leaders all round the world, play these little sneaky power games and just expect the general population to buy it. Sadly the majority do. They're all ****ing at it. It just comes under different guises and to different extents. None of it is ok. He's a turd. But just because some of the others are covered up by newspaper, it doesn't matter because when a gust of wind blows that paper away and you step in it, you still get **** on shoe.

This narrative of how Russia is expanding in all directions, threatening all before it. Hmm there was me thinking they only had two bases outside of Russian soil. How many does the United States have again? How many Nato military maneuvers have been in countries bordering Russia? How many times have the Western media span utter aburdities of how Russia effecting 'muh U.S election, muh Brexit, muh every other election in Europe which goes against the pro EU narrative?

Russia isn't my enemy. This anti-Russian narrative in the western media has spread with some alacrity these last few years. Its all utter bullshit. If the war they crave ever occurs it will result in annihilation on a scale many can't comprehend.

The Russian violence is not the worst thing in the world.

The worlds apathy towards it, is.

Russia is not your friend. They're out to disrupt the EU and USA, mainly through espionage and cyber-warfare. They're not expanding in all directions, not imperialist in that way, but there are many Russians (especially those in power) who see the liberation/independence of the nations of Eastern Europe and Central Asia as a defeat for Russia and a slight against its government.

Nationalism is a mentality that at its core is about ethnic supremacy and perceived victimhood, and that's a strong theme of Russian life which is actively encouraged by internal Russian media. It's not the only country in the world where that happens, but as far as I'm aware Russia is the only country that's sending agents to assassinate people on UK soil, so probably a bad idea to get too cosy with them.

I don't give two ****s if they want to disrupt the EU. They can sever its head and mount it merrily on a trophy rack.

Tell me - do the politicians of the West care for me? I think not. Most of them tend to be Neo-liberal lunatics who want our borders flung open like an old whore's legs. Nationalism and populism is of course evil to them but flooding countries with endless waves of low IQ, third worlders is perfectly acceptable. They also seem intent on bowing down to some absurd 7th century cult at any given notice.

Give me a choice between the likes of Merkel, Blair, Verhofstadt, Timmermans, Juncker, and Putin - I'd take the latter.

Not much more to say, you've clearly walled yourself off from reason or rational thought. Putin could drop a nuke over the North Sea and you'd probably cheer.

Yes I am a Russian bot, I enjoy the thought of crazed Cossacks riding WMD's toward my beloved isle and the above statement is absolutely not in the least bit hyperbolic.

You talk about Putin dropping nukes and I have walled myself off from rational thought.

Not so walled off when you consider Putin, within the last 2 weeks, has put out this:

Russia's Putin unveils 'invincible' nuclear weapons

and stronger weaponary will no doubt be developed by the other four legally recognised nuclear powers - and the four remaining unrecognised ones. Also - one must understand - it could be simple bravado from Putin's part. They cannot contend with the West inregard to infrastructure, political power or prosperity - so the only hand they can play in the face of it is the threat of mutually assured destruction.

Again - I am not here to praise Russia, Putin, etc I know of the power of the oligarchs, the corruption, etc but what I am saying is peace is far preferable than war. Much of the Western media has a massive agenda in recent years of demonising Russia. You see in regard to Trump's situation - when that submarine was seen off the coast early in his tenure the liberal media was demanding action, salivating at the prospect of utter destruction. If Trump attempted some reconcillary approach he was a 'Russian agent' - that trend running for nearly two years. If they truly believe Russian interference put Trump in the White House - they seriously overestimate Putin's power. Strange they cite this apparent 'foreign interference' in their elections but have no problems at all in massive voting fraud endless tides of illegal immigrants to solidify democratic power.

Anyone watch the meeting of the UN Security Council? Outright condemnation from around the world and some very concerned delegates. And the Russians, of course, denying it all and bizarrely referencing Sherlock Holmes.

This is the first time a nerve agent has been used in Europe since WWII.
