You don't need photobucket in order to post pictures.

Meanwhile those inferior dumps Coventry and Stoke are having to make do with the Rolling Stones.

Are you sure they're playing Stoke?*

*This is just a question, not a personal attack.

Why that ended up as Stoke I don't know. Was supposed to be Southampton where they have added a date.

It certainly isn't Hull. Though there are a number of tribute acts and Jasper Carrott to bring the masses in.

****ing tribute shows who would pay to see that? The Hull Arena is just a bigger more boring looking City Hall, and showing 30 year old films with a band playing the score and charging £45, mugs

He didn't look as good as that back in the 70's when he stood on Bunkers with us lot.

In those days they appeared in places like Brid twice in six weeks as there was a bigger capacity.

That was the first time they were filmed in colour.

Was working with a lad about 20 years ago. Someone had lent him a video of that concert. He was watching it at home when his mother let out a yell. She had spotted herself. She was the one in the leather coat at 3.45. I think he looked differently at the woman he considered a staid old dear after that.

Peaked by 1970. A plane crash in 1969 would have cemented their reputation, Amazing that a band which hasn't had a number one for 48 years, and which didn't sell huge amounts at their peak - Ken Dodd sold more than them in this country in the 1960s, can still shift tickets faster than anyone else. And amazing how many of their audience isn't made up ov people who were around when they were at their peak but ones born decades later.

    This is true.
Went to see them in 2006 and it was best concert I've seen.
    Their energy was amazing.
Probably still on some of those 60s drugs.

Only Jones and Richards were into drugs. Jagger wasn't, he was a fitness fanatic and didn't like not being in control.
Saw them Cup Final day 1964. Would have given anything to look like Brian Jones, though it shows how things changed as his hair wasn't long by later standards. The beauty of liking them at thatbtime eas that your parents couldn't stand them. My dad told me as I set off to see them to make the most of it as nobody would know who they were in 6 months. Something I reminded him of regularly for the next 31 years.
If you look at the photo, there is a crowd of people at the top on some stairs. This leads to where the spotlights are. Me and a mate went up there and couldn't get down again. It was sweltering. There were 5,000 tickets sold and they found 500 forgeries. After tyat they reduced the capacity.
Somebody put the negative for this photo up for auction along with 5 others not long back and got £3,500for them.
