Out for yet another month. Another complete drain on our wage bill picking up wages and contributing feck all along with McNair and Marc Wilson, Rodwell etc etc. I have a feeling a fair few of our players are just bottling it now and taking the easy road out of enduring playing 90 mins of misery.
Absolute shambles. Never known things so bad in all my years. I know this has been said over many months by most posters on here but I have not had a shred of happiness in the past 2 seasons.
Rodwell is an exceptionally expensive waste of space, I don't think it's fair to compare others to him. It's unfortunate Williams is out and it's annoying as I thought he looked decent when he played. As for the likes of McNair I reckon they'd prefer to be on the pitch to, at the very least, put themselves in the shop window - being out injured and disappearing down a division whilst doing so is going to limit their future earning potential!
I think when it comes to loans we could have done better than a crock, there have to be players available that would have stayed fit and improved us if we had the know how to find them.
They'd rather go elsewhere. Williams is a talented lad, if he wasn't so injury prone he'd have had damn site better options than us. We're the last sanctuary for the broken, lazy, ****e and washed up.
Do you think Whatmore could be our unlucky talisman we seem to drop a division whenever he's out next season when he's fit I wouldn't play him until we get promoted or we could be down to Div 2
Palace fans hinted he was injury prone when we got him out of the loan. Potentially good but never around.
Think, like tees alluded to (I think) it's easier to "stay fit" if the team is winning and confident and happy. Easy to say "Ow my ankle" when the going is tough! I feel for McNair mind and don't think he's anywhere in that bracket - no injury problems until his cruciate last year and now can't get a run of games together - he's someone I do think will want to be playing
Did we have the chance though? Loan deals are structured in certain ways and if we've agreed to a season long loan (unlike with Grabban) then we can;t send them back I believe (sure someone will correct me if I am wrong)
No idea mate nothing suprises me anymore. Surely any normal club would have arranged a clause to be able to send a player with an injury record like him if he played under a certain percentage of games due to injuries. We'll have paid him well over 100k this season to do feck all.
McNairs just been called up for Ireland when hes hardly even kicked a ball for us this season. Its fecking so annoying. Watch him get injured by pulling his back or something sat on the plane home.
Yes he was hes hardly even played any football for a few seasons now. We should have agreed a deal that enabled us to send him back in Jan if injury was the case. If we did then why the feck did we not do it and replace him with somebody that can actually make it onto the pitch and is preferably over 5 foot 6 tall!
We'd have been better off signing Joe Ledley off Palace on a free instead of Williams on loan from them. Ledley was out of contract and is now doing a decent job at Derby.
Yeah I was surprised we didn't snap up Ledley it would have made sense on several levels. Mind you since when did we do anything that made sense.
He never went to Derby till mid September. Im suprised it took him so long to find a club because hed featured quite alot for Palace the season before. We decided to sign a midget made from fibre glass off them instead who was nowhere near the Palace first team. Yep we certainly know how to feck things up!
