Money's ruined the "sporting" behaviour that should, after all, run through sport. I wish we had seen Scott Sinclair for a couple of seasons. I'm sure he would have moved on and perhaps had an even better career. Chelsea snaffled him and then promptly loaned him out and then sold him on. But then I guess we've let some get away, too like Bobby Zamora! He definitely should have been given a chance.
In the above article it states the premier league have been approached for a comment do people really think they give a dam for those in the lower leagues, if they did they would share the wealth from the TV deals a little more fairly
Unfortunately, higher up the football pyramid you go, those clubs philosophies are its a business not a support. Businesses succeed on ****ting on the little people.
Even in Youth football the odds are stacked in favour of the clubs who have money. For example - as a Category 1 Southampton can sign youngsters from Bristol. However neither City or Rovers are allowed to go for young players from the Southampton area
So unfair. We are doing what Tranmere are now beginning to do. Sign youngsters from top clubs who get released early as youths. The bulk of our development squad consists of these types. Some come through the ranks though. We got Tom Lockyer for example from Cardiff!
