To play Sanchez and then bring Pogba on tonight was a disgrace, nothing to do with kids, they get plenty of time and do very well with it just that the pair of them have so far done nothing (bit unfair on Pogba as before his injury he looked pretty good).

When he got injured, since then he has looked like the kid we let go.

Nope, you are a good team and he played to that. Arrogance was his downfall tonight.

I didnt want to say that but it does seem something like that which is unusual for him.
With pogba do you think he will get his form back under jose or do u think jose will need to go to get it back.
I really havent seen enough of him to make an informed (imho) decision. I saw a lot of highlights which is a bit like the you tube showcases and not like watching full games. He literally seems to have lost his mojo. Some hacks were guessing his nose out of joint as he not number one since sanchez arrival, same hacks who were looking at that kind of reasoning with mane Tbf with salah.
He seemed to be wanting to be involved on satwith his celebrations (not a dig btw as I have no issue with the celebrations).

But, you actually believe he WAS injured, he got openly dropped two games ago(supposedly because of his attitude,), Pogba is a luxury player for Utd, just like Paddy Berger was for us(except Pogba will never score as many goals as him), I can't put your faith in Pogba(or Mourinho)down to anything but club loyalty.

Pogba been asked to play deeper from what I gather. Before he was behind Lukaku as an attacking player and was scoring goals and getting assists in the box. But being deeper doesn’t suit him.

Reminds me of toure in ghat instance. Can’t be trusted in a 2 but a good luxury player behind front man.

Doesnt seem like a coincidence that lukaku form has dropped since then as well

Like I said, Pogba doesn't look far away from the kid we let go. I think the time and space he got in Italy gave him lots of confidence (he does have the skill), but coming back to the PL has brought him back to earth. It's not a manager thing with him, more a case of reality check and re-evaluating his need for effort when that happens we should have a player regardless of manager.

So if he got openly dropped, why pretend he is injured?
Take off the tinfoil hat, it leaves rust stains on your forehead

He has never played behind Lukaku but has played wide left behind Rashford/Martial. His link with Lukaku was good but his passing has gone to **** since the injury.

Not really, it leaves enough room for the eyes and ears to work perfectly, Mourinho is ****ing your club over and supporters like your goodself believing the hype only keeps the current status quo, great, I'm happy with that.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Just read Mourinho's comments about the defeat on Sky Sports, I feel really sorry for Utd supporters that believe in him as their manager, his words show exactly where their club are in his estimation.

He reckons last nights defeat should now be forgotten and mentions the weekends fixture as priority, but he also never forgot to mention his two victories over his current club with Porto and Real, that was crass and self centered, surprised it wasn't brought up by the apologists.:emoticon-0100-smile

I thought it was fair comment, it's not the first time we have been knocked out in the CL and won't be the last (often surprisingly).

We do need to forget it now, it's gone (history you might say) so weekends game is now the most important.
If we lose this weekend the next league game will be the most important, that's the way it works, if you lose you can do nothing about it so the next game is more important.

    Bit of both tbh mate.

Mourinho is a serial winner and usual takes a win at all costs approach. He'll know the leagues gone so he would have been prioritising the FA Cup and the CL.

The only thing that alters it is his hatred for Liverpool Football Club born purely from that ghost goal.

He took his eye off the ball because we were the fixture. If they'd been playing anyone else, including Man City, he'd have switched the team in preparation for Sevilla.

It's not the first time he's gone all out because it's Liverpool is it?

    Just my opinion of course.

Really? Not often you hear managers refer to previous management roles. Very rare they refer to just themselves either. Usually, managers say "we" when discussing games, results, etc in reference to himself, players, fans, etc; aka the whole club in it together. Mourinho's comments were very much him and the club, two separate entities.

To talk about your own achievements over the club you are now managing is disgraceful imo

I think it is another clever deflection, again focus will be detracted from the actual performance.

Its a very clever move imho, some will think he is arrogant some will think he is clever some wont be arsed either way.

Utd are simply put, way better than that performance last night. Not sure whether it is because of Sevilla nullifying them, think it is far more likely down to the fact that Jose sidesstruggle against teams that set up in a similar vain to his when the opposition have the players to do it.

Either way it has given me some ammunition to defend myself at work (although Jose did give some semblemence of a defence before the game on sat)<laugh>

I am grateful for the lack of city supporters in my area lmao

So the british arrogance curse has struck again, so many thought there were going to be 5 british clubs in the 1/4 finals. (I thought 4 - thought/hoped spurs would bite it) i did think chelsea would make it through but not as sure now.
So as the quarter final line up nears completion who are we all wanting, I would like either Bayern, Barca (if get through) or sevilla as we owe them one

Liverpool and Manchester city are the only British team in the hat on Thursday, Wait a moment, Chelsea can beat Barcelona tonight making three
    English teams.
