I complained to my mum about her cooking when I was about 14, she told me if I did not want to eat the food then I can cook it myself, have worked in restaurants for 30 years now. The way my mum could overcook veg is the stuff of nightmares
I don't like sloppy veg, but I also hate how some restaurants show vegetables to the saucepan, but don't think you have to actually cook them.
RIP Stephen Hawking. Genius is often a misused word, but not in this case. Proof that the mind can out perform the body, and that no matter what physical issues you have, the mind can go on to do great things for humanity.

A great mind. He claimed that his illness concentrated his mind.....thinking he would die young made him work even harder. He also made difficult concepts available to ordinary people.....I read his Brief History of Time and I understood it until the last chapter....where my mind just decided to accept what he said was true on trust .
Have you seen "The Theory of Everything "Fran, very good film and defiantly worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
