    My selections for today:
    Footpad
    Singlefarmpayment each way
My Tent or Yours/ch'tibello both each way
    Apple's Jade
    Testify/Barney Dwan both each way

Have done a festival accumulator too on:
    Getabird
    Monalee (RSA)
    Un De Sceaux (Ryanair)
    Supasundae (Stayers)

Good luck to everyone ..i guess one of the hotpots won't come in today..there is usually one that is beat ....I would be in shock if that turns out to be Apple's Jade.

It must be all the excitement but **GASP** I've put on a multiple bet, and an each way patent at that.

    1.30 First Flow
    2.50 Yala Enki
    5.30 Ballyhill

I may also put each way singles on My Tent or Yours in the 3.30 and Shades of Midnight in the 4.50.

Best of luck to each and every one of you.

    Enjoy!

Few quid on Nicholls top trainers at 50/1. He isn’t going to win any of the grade 1s but I reckon he will have plenty of chances elsewhere. Fox hunters and Fred winter in particular.

    Kalashnikov e/w @ 11/2 with Ladbrokes.

Backed Footpad last night @ 5/4, missed the 11/8.

Champion Hurdle doesn't interest me as a betting heat; fav too short but difficult to oppose. Hopefully Faugheen will put two poor runs behind him and give the favourite something to think about. Neither will be burdened by my poor judgement though.
I was initially tempted by Elgin as an e/w play, but don't think he'll like the ground so might not bother.

Will probably back both top and bottom weight (Testify, Mister Whitaker) in the Novices Handicap Chase.

Bonne chance, tout le monde <ok>

    Scoop 6/Lucky 63:

1:30 Cheltenham - Getabird 2/1 (already on Paloma Blue lose and money back so figured fav is as good as anything for this)
2:50 Cheltenham - Cogry 16/1 (Good course form, definite stayer and ground no problem whatsoever)
3:05 Southwell - Zylan 12/1 (taken a chance that the drop from 7f to 6f sparks it back to life)
3:30 Cheltenham - Buveur D'Air 4/7 (with serious doubts about Faugheen, it'd just be completeguess work and a fluke opposing this horse with anything else)
4:50 Cheltenham - Sizing Tennesee 8/1 (distance a bit of unknown but should cope, ground not an issue and likewise jumping)
5:30 Cheltenham - Demi Sang 16/1 (Geraghty aboard for Mullins, i'm thinking this one is lurking about unnoticed somewhat and price looks huge)

Got the wife to have a go at the card too although not backing these:

    Paloma Blue
    Petit Mouchoir
    Coo Star Sivola
    Mick Jazz
    Jers Girl
    Jury Duty
    De Plotting Shed

Had to get her to pick again in the Supreme as her original choice was Golden Jeffrey at 500/1

    Cheers Boston, same to you.

Google is my friend. The Tom George Cheltenham winner was GALILEO and it won the RSA Hurdle in 2002. Jeeez I feel old now.

Through the card - couple of chunky bets and the obligatory life changers over the next 2 days including Samcro and:

Footpad - loads of prices from 4/1 down - i love him as a chaser. That run lto is streets ahead of the English challenge and he's performed well at the Festival in the past. I think special 2 mile chaser really separate themselves from their field. We've been spoiled with greats over the last few years. He's probably a small step below the Altior's and Douvan's of the past few years but i don't think there's much in it. Strong bet.

Apples Jade - 2/1 down - seemingly another Annie Power/Quevega job in that she's clearly a stone better than the rest and will win if she jumps. No reason to think she won't.

Coo Star Sivola - 8/1 each way - i had it to three on Friday night- Single Farm Payment and Gold Present when they were all 8/1 and plumped for CSS. Keeps repeating Festival form which i think is essential here. Just a lovely Festival performer who will run his race. The jockey is a concern for me. I think she's a shower but i've taken the chance she gets an armchair ride.

Barney Dwan - 8/1 and again at 10/1 today - absolutely my top handicap bet of the week with explanation on that other thread.

I'm on my best behaviour this week after a Cheltenham Budget meeting with our house's Supreme Chancellor last night.
A couple of singles and a trixie made up of the following selections:

    1:30 Kalashnikov
    2:50 Coo Star Sivola

4:50 Sizing Tennessee and Rathvinden (ST on a trixie, R on a covering single)

    GLA <cheers>
